I am was just wondering. Am I the only person in this wide world of ours that loves the insane jazz soundtrack of Marvel vs Capcom 2. I understand why people don't like it but at the same time I believe that there is some memorial tracks in there.

Namely the Airship track is very cool as well as the desert stage and the boss stages with it's incredible break beats. I know come release day I will still play the game with the original soundtrack. I just can't have it any other way but what about you?

But the three questions I would like to ask all of you is:-

  • Why do you love/hate the Original Soundtrack?
  • What music will you use instead to accompany the manic action going on screen?
  • If you could go back in time and replace the Marvel Vs Capcom 2 soundtrack, what would you replace it with?

I dislike it because once you go with Guilty Gear, you can't accept Jazz to be a soundtrack for a 2D fighter. The Heavy Metal soundtrack of Guilty Gear is a big reason why I love it.

Probably the Guilty Gear soundtrack, Mega Man 20th Anniversary [Rock] soundtrack, something by King Diamond, Machine Head, Killswitch Engage or all of the things I mentioned. :3

If you could go back in time and replace the Marvel Vs Capcom 2 soundtrack, what would you place it with?

Either use Metal remix versions of classic themes or make up a really heavy, headbanging soundtrack.

I'll replace EVERYTHING with TU4AR. >:}

Not really. I'll probably make it a mix of Capcom theme remixes and such (Henshin-a-go-go, baby!) and Marvel cartoon themes. Except the 90's Fantastic Four theme. That makes me cringe.

1.-  The music is good, the problem is that it fails on the test of taking us players to the adrenalin rush needed to speed the fingers and take control of EPIC heroes from two great fictional universes.

2.- (Sorry Capcom) Guilty Gear XX and Isuka OST

3.- I'll would ask Yuukichan's Papa (composer of Megaman and Megaman 2 music and Street Fighter II sound designer) to came out with something

I love the original soundtrack. And I am a Guilty Gear player but GGs soundtrack just ok. I also love the 3S rap music, and the SF4 announcer and english characters voices, or atleast it doesn't bother me in the slightest unlike some people cry it must be turned off.

The music itself is OK (except for the character select, duh), it's just that it doesn't fit a fighting game. It just doesn't fit the mood.

IMO, the entire soundtrack should be redone be Stan Bush.

I support a new (or remixed) Darkstalkers game!

I'll probably put up a mix of rock music from various Capcom games.  The MvC1 soundtrack could also get thrown in, as some of those character mixes were awesome.
