Is there a possibilty you guys can start a thread where we can request things?

Not all of us care about a rebalanced mode. But being able to change the music, even on the Dreamcast Color swapped stages seperately so we can have extra tracks, color edit so we can make black suit Spidey, Carnage, turn Iron Man into Iron Patriot, reverse Venom's colors to make Anti-Venom lol -  are things I would love to see if possible.

Still I'm happy the game is coming back and going by the demo it looks and plays great. Thanks Capcom!

I'd use the system now in SFIV to be the the ragequitter solution.

yeah i had my connection die on me a few times. Just give

them the loss and give the other player the win. Sounds like the most fair thing

to do.

Mr. Sagara, the game supports custom soundtracks.

Yeah I know lol! The problem is that all of the color swapped backgrounds use the same songs. So I don't want to swap out that song, but the song for every stage, even the color swapped ones individually. If this is what is meant by custom soundtracks, then fine. Owning a PS3 and not a 360 I know next to nothing about the process... Embarassed

Hey guys, I'm seeing a lot of wishlist requests for the game and I wanted to clear a few things up for you.  A lot of your suggestions are really good and I would love to have been able to add in even 25% of them, but unfortunately, this release of the game isn't like SF HD Remix.  For HD Remix, the title was intended to be redrawn and rebalance from it's inception.  That allowed us to add and change a lot of things in the game.

For MvC2, we are unable to give it the same treatment.  The title will be MvC2 from the DC with some new visual options and online play added.  The scope of this title is not to rebalance, add new sprites/characters, or redraw the game.  Even if it were, we are wayyyyy past the beta stage at this point, and as some of you may know, beta is defined among other things, as a point in development when the features (including art) are locked.

This post isn't meant to stifle any creative discussion on the title.  It's always good to hear what you guys want...and well, you know we read our forums and you never know what can happen in the future.  I just wanted to post this to cover a lot of the open threads out there right now, rather than responding to every single one.

Jimmy, despite all of that, we all know Capcom is going to make a ton of profit off of this release Wink. From what we've seen the only changes are the extended FOV (16:9), sprite filters (which emulators have been using for a decade), the intro was cut, the main menu was changed to something that looks sterile, and the multiplayer component from STHDR is being dropped into this game. Even Puzzle Fighter HDR had more work done to it.

So IMO its not unreasonable to expect a little polish given how much of a windfall this will be for Capcom.

I'm hoping that the issue with the background edges is fixed because there are quite a few backgrounds where the edges just weren't meant to be shown and have artifacts. The desert's ground is missing on the edges, and on the Airboat theres a propeller way out of position on the right side. Plus theres some sprite scaling/filtering issues with the overlays (Text and Timer).

I haven't played the game on a 1080p monitor yet so I haven't been able to check if theres AA enabled, but the shots from your blog (showing the filtering options) had none. If the game is like that thats pretty pathetic considering even the DC version had AA.

It would also be nice if the overlay blockyness was fixed. I dunno if its because of scaling issues or because they are low-res textures or both. But I figure it wouldn't take long to draw new textures for those. You could probably do it in an afternoon. And the background texture for the select screen is probably the lowest res thing in the game-- would be nice if it was updated

So I guess we're not going to be able to play this on the PSP also.  Oh well, maybe you'll at least change the sprite size proportionally to the background in 16:9 mode.

After reading Gary Lake's latest blog entry, I hope you guys didn't omit a replay save feature just because there was difficulty with a method of being able to share them online. Just having the ability to save replays locally is useful because you can save them to video capture them later. Most people that capture stuff for YouTube for any game, don't/can't play and capture at the same time.

You mean "lol @ THOSE GUYS complaining about the buttons" and sorry to burst your bubble but you can't pick someone (apart) piece by piece if they don't get the game.

Custom soundtracks means that you can have any song in your PS3's ahrd drive replace whatever song background music is being played by the game.

I support a new (or remixed) Darkstalkers game!
