I think that they should have one for the psp since the psp could handle a game like marvel vs capcom 2 and psp needs a game like marvel vs capcom 2 on the system

Dude, the PSP is basically a handheld version of the Sega Dreamcast. ITs more than possible to port it to the PSP. I'd like it for the PSP but I don't see the option happening.

I didn't mean it can't port it, I'm saying it won't be played as well because of the controls.

All PSP's excluding the orginal model are pretty good for fighters(Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max is amazing) but I do have preferences towards the Dualshock 3 for controls. The only issue really being the control "nub" isn't as great as a control stick. D-pad users would'nt have any issues.

a psp version would be cool just because you can play it everywhere, also gamesharing should be there as well^except you can`t customise the game, neither select stages^and a multiplayer mode with two umd that give the entire multiplayer.

i could also suggest for the psp port,4 new characters,2 for each sides. For the capcom side, ingrid and pyron should be in the game, and for the marvel side, some comic books drawers from marvel should create two new sprites model to bring in the psp version.

It would be cool to see

It could just be downloadable via the Playstation Network just like the Playstation 3 version. I don't imagine it would eat up too much space if you at least have a 2GB memory stick or larger.

I've just got 1, 17MB demo on my PSP's memory stick (and I haven't played it in months).  I don't believe in wasting memory for a game that I could get for UMD. The PS3 is different.  I've got 80 GB, not 1.  I wouldn't download it because I use my memory stick for music, game saves, and to back up some of my PC's files.  And If I had a bigger memory stick, I'd just back up more files.

But, for the backgrounds, would it be possible to just take high res sprite images of the 3D elements in the stages?  I just want minimum step ladder effects.  But, I dunno.. Could the PSP run the backgrounds normally without a graphical downscale?

Look at games like Crisis Core, it could probably handle them as is. Most PSP game developers don't put much effort into the visuals because its a handheld.
