if it cant run, couldnt capcom just tone it down like they did with zero 3 on the gba. take out some of the bright stuff and lower the background 3d maybe. however about the controls, think the dude got a point. but nutttin compares to the arcade stick or the six buttin pad. i too hate playin fighting games on psp but once ya playing ,you can and will adapt. im all for a psp port even though i dont have one lol
The PSP can handle Dreamcast games, I doubt it would need any toning down from the DC version. The only game's controls that still bug me is Monster Hunter Freedom 2, but that's sony's fault for not including a second analog stick on the PSP.
thats right. i totally forgot about the DC port. makes sense. i have a question though for everyone. when playin zero 3 (alpha 3) on the psp, is it annoyin to to use the triple punch or triple kick for akuma's or bison's warp? i remember on tha gba, it was totallly impossible for me. triple button stuff is essential for mvc2 right?
I dunno why whenever you say somebody must not have the system in question, they start tellin you how many broke ones they have lol. That isht is redundant.
You can't have it both ways, You either want the remakes like the Monster Hunters and Megamans or you don't. People obviously do cause they sell well. They're usually refreshes of the game when they go as far to "remake" it so you not gettin a straight port.
And really how many PS2 ports have you actually seen on the system that didn't launch along side the PS2 version? I'm sayin, I know they're some there but you blowin waaaaaaay outta proportion. I dunno if you talkin about like series on the PS2 makin their way to the PSP or if you mean they're all the exact same game. But anyway, with the PS1 classics you gettin "ports" also. You wanna throw those away too?
I dunno why you'd even complain that they're "ports" cause I know a lot of folks haven't even played all those PS1, Saturn, and Dreamcast "Ports". So they're just like brand new games.
Anyway, I wish I could go through and pick out all the exclusives for you back from 2005 till now but I'll just settle for ones in 09.
Keep in mind the majority of games on my list are prolly gonna be japanese, but you already know that.
I believe there's even more I missed like Brandish, and some American games but I think's that enough. Those are for the first half of this year with a couple of those already released. I kept stoppin myself from puttin ones from 08 and any "Ports" in there just to make you happy RedBlaze.
Firstly, i'll answer someone else's post before I get to the one I quoted: The original Model PSP's d-pad has this weid curving up while going outward thing going on. That for some odd reason makes it very, very difficult to hit diagonal directions or perform simple things such as the hadouken, ultimately forcing the player to use the analog stick whether they want to or not. The 2000 and 3000 model's have a leveled out d-pad, much like the one on the Dualshock.
Back to quoted thing: Dude, i'm not against ports or remakes, its just the PSP doesn't have alot of noteworthy exclusive games. And what I mean by that is a game made exclusively for the system, regardless if it is a part of a game series such as Monster Hunter, Grand Theft Auto, God of War, Twisted Metal, ext.. It just bothers me when such a game ends up getting a PS2 port like a year later, usually with more content.
As i've said earlier, I actually own most of what Capcom has released on PSP. It's just i'd like to see something like a completely new Megaman game or something on th PSP. Heck, It could be something like Megaman Powered Up 2 with a original plot(as opposed to Megaman 2's plot) and i'd be happy. I'm really not complaining about the PSP not having good games or anything like that.
As for PSOne classics, i've never brought those up or were thinking about them in the context of this conversation. I'm all for this, i'm talking about more like if they released an enhanced version of something like Resident Evil on PSP over a new Resident Evil game and have the PSOne classic available.

I don't recall needing to use triple button stuf in Marvel vs Capcom 2 back when I rented it. I can't help you with the warping ifo you want but if it isn't possible(Which I doubt that), you can assign the select button to do whatever you want it too.
im pretty sure its very important. the DC and Ps2 both had more buttons. a second row of shoulder buttons. usually that second set would be the button to use when you use your special attack. that would be the triple punch or triple kick.
so psp layout would be square LP, triangle MP, right shoulder, HP. then x LK, circle MK and left shoulder HK. youll need PPP and KKK.

The Dreamcast hast the same button amount as the PSP.

Marvel Vs. Capcom is a 6 button fighter. Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is a FOUR button fighter. LP, LK, HP, HK. To do medium attacks, you must connect a light attack, and push the light button again, and it will revert. The other two buttons are for PARTNER A, and PARTNER B.
To dash in Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, you double tap the direction, or you push LP+HP. To launch the enemy, you push vertical down-right + HP (I think). To super jump, push Down followed by up, Or push LK+HK. Or, push up after a launch.
All you need is 6 buttons for the game. There's no reason why the system can't support it. It's not going to fill even half of the UMD's space, and the directional pad is no different from the dual shock pad on the 2000+ Models.
