Just wondering what are other people's plans for swapping out the music in MVC2. This is my current plan. I'm mainly using songs from Marvel's movies and songs from Street Fighter games. All of the songs have lyrics sung to them. There's Fifteen backgrounds. Six of them are swaps, there's one for that rat infested night factory that doesn't have a swap. If you include Abyss' background that's sixteen. So giving the backgrounds stupid names LOL along with all of the music I'm going to use if all goes. Boat in the Day - 'Hero' from the first Spider-Man movie by Chad Kroeger and Josey Scott. This is from the first Spider-Man movie soundtrack. It's mainly going to stand for every Marvel character I can't get a song for. Clown / Amusement Park - 'Institutionalized' by Suicidal Tendencies. This is off the Iron Man soundtrack. Doesn't have much to do with Iron Man, except for him being kinda crazy at times I guess... Desert with red sky - Zangief's theme from the SF2 Vocal Album. Hey I figure red sky = Red Cyclone. Gloomy Cave - 'Girl On Fire' by Rob Zombie. This is from the Resident Evil Apocalypse soundtrack. Jill Valentine was in that movie. Yes I'm sure Rob Zombie was talking about Jill because I have no idea who this Alice person is. Ghost Island - 'Move Away' by The Killers. This is from the third Spider-Man movie soundtrack. The song reps Venom well. Oh and he's been stuck on an island before. Not a haunted island but still. Clock Tower - 'Theme From Spider-Man' by Aerosmith. This is from the first Spider-Man movie soundtrack. Even though Aerosmith is messing up some of the old 60s cartoon theme song lyrics, I hope on purpose LOL it's pretty cool. Ice Stage - Ryu's song off the SF Tribute Album. On the Tribute Album, Ryu's SF2 song is sung with English lyrics! Well, 'Engrish lyrics...' Still my favorite variant of Ryu's song. I dunno, the ice thing floating down the sea makes me think of Ryu. Night Factory - 'Wolverine Blues' by Entombed. I HAVE to put the Wolverine song in here. Man they showed comic book images of Wolverine in the video. Swapped stages, plus ending and character select - Boat in the Night - Guile's song off the SF2 Vocal Album. No real reason I guess... Well he did ride on a boat at night with Nash/Charlie in SF2V, best I can do. Red Clown / Amusement Park - Roll's song with lyrics from the Marvel vs. Capcom 1 soundtrack. This song reps all of the Mega Man characters and since the non-swapped version of this stage is Iron Man's, it's a nice polar opposite. Desert with blue sky -'Set Me Free' by Scott Weiland, Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum and Dave Kushner. Boy that's a lot of names.... This is from the Hulk movie soundtrack, the Ang Lee film. Hulk wanders the dessert all of the time so it's cool. Yeah there's a newer / better IMHO Hulk movie but this song rocks. Goddess Island - Dhalsim's song off the SF2 Vocal Album. This song sounds really peaceful and serene, I think it would fit this stage well. Lava having gloomy cave - Ken's theme off the SF2 Vocal Album. Fire/lava makes me think of Ken. Snow covered Clock Tower - 'Vindicated' by Dashboard Confessional. This is from the second Spider-Man movie soundtrack. I guess since I used the Aerosmith Spidey theme for the regular version, I'm gonna use this theme for the swapped variant. I think it will work pretty well with the snow. Wooden Bridge - Chun-Li's theme off the SF2 Vocal Album. This is a swap for the Ice Stage, so when I think of Ryu's opposite well I think of Chun-Li. Abyss Stage - 'Itsoshisa To Setsunasa To Kokoro Tsuyosa To' by Tetsuya Komuro. This is the from the SF2 Animated Movie soundtrack, the Japanese version. This is the song that plays when Ryu and Ken beat up Cape, hell yeah! Ending - 'Signal Fire' by Snow Patrol. This is the first song that plays during Spider-Man 3's credits. I think it will work well with everyone on the boat and stuff. The Character Select screen song 'Take You For a Ride' will get swapped out with 'The Twist' from Chubby Checker off the third Spider-Man movie. I dunno, think this will be funny. So I'm still wondering if you changed a song for a regular background, will the swapped background have the same song? Hmmm.... If that's the case I'll probably just lessen the tracks to songs for Spidey, Iron Man, Hulk, Wolverine, Ryu, Chun-Li, Roll and Jill. Again if I can't swap the background music out (since I'm still not sure how the customization will work) then I'll just make a playlist of everything and run it while I play. On the PS3 when you do this on the demo, you can still here the announcer, fighting moves and everything else. Only the music changes. Guess those are my plans. Anyone else making plans for swapping out the music? |

Mostly the Guilty Gear Soundtrack. When I play as Spider-man, I'll play The Ramones cover of the Spider-man theme song.

Blue Badger do you have the NY and LA Guilty Gear soundtracks or those songs DLed somewhere? Those all have English lyrics to the Guilty Gear songs. The Millia vs. Eddie(Zato-1) song is my favorite. |

The Guilty Gear music I have is just the regular in game versions. I have heard the NY & LA soundtracks before, and they do sound pretty cool.

But this song fits the clown stage well. Oh the guy sings about getting a Pepsi, hey they are Pepsi machines in the new Bionic Commando game. Coincidence? OF COURSE.

LOL went through the whole soundtrack and I couldn't resist using a Rob ZOMBIE song for Jill.
