after 7 hours of great matches online (hands sore), its great people shared info about the fact the room has to have mics disabled to allow your playlist to play.
the moment you make or join a room that has mics enabled, the msuic is paused until you leave the room or join a room with mics disabled.
it's a trade off, but I'm so glad I can play my music online on mvc2. when with friends I'll just play without music at all, but when playing rank matches I'll create rooms with mic setting off. oh yea and be sure to turn the in-game music all the way down in options, of course. :p
