Do you think it's unfair for Capcom to be "obligated" to cater to a very small fraction of the gaming community--the small percentage of people who haven't upgraded to the next gen consoles? 

You're making it seem like everyone in the world got a 360 or PS3 for free and now only has to pay for the download.  They had to buy the system, an HD TV so it'll look good, a monthly fee to their internet provider and THEN the $15 for the game download.  That cost much more than $50, I guarantee you.

Plus, you're telling us there are NO games on the next gen systems you'd be interested in playing?  What happens when/if there's a Marvel vs. Capcom 3 only on the next gen?  Will you complain if it's not released on the PS2?

First off thanks Brad for understanding, and now to the questions.

Obligated, gamers have been demanding its rerelease for over 7 years and only now have they choose to do so, the ones that wanted a release deserve that chance. The deal for the digital release was no new modes, any new modes would have required the license. A rerelease would have no new modes.

Not at all, yes there are a few games I would like to play on PS3, but in order to get the most out of a next gen system a high speed connection is REQUIRED, after all how could I get it on dial up, ps3 doesnt support it and because of where I live it is impossible to get any type of fast connection.

No, i would not complain, that is a future game but MvC 2 was on PS2 for a very short run because of licensing issues, therefore not everyone had a chance at getting it.

I am not doing this to be down on Capcom, not at all, I just want to ensure "Fairness". I love all Capcom games, I just want to make sure me, my friends, and all those around the world who have neither can have a shot at getting it other than paying $50 used.

Only reason it costs that much is because people are willing to pay $50 for it, basic economics.
