Im sorry for the earlier post. I believe in my most honest opinion that Silver Samurai > All God tier characters. Why do i say this? His lightning hyper combo is by far the most kickass move i have ever seen. Do you see the damaga that does? And the ninja stars kill blockers since its damage is the same wether you block or not.
Not to mention his special effects when you use his elemental powers
Posted from Gamefaqs
-Lightning- While in PL, he gains an increase in defense but also decreases his attack power. If you perform PL multiple times, his defense begins to return to normal. By the 3rd time, damage should return back to normal. He will be able to perform the Triple Shuriken in midair. His Lightning Strike seems to change with this power up, making it more difficult to connect off the popup, but gaining a higher amount of guard damage. A normal shuriken only hits once rather than the usual six. Both his normal and Triple Shuriken go out at much greater speed. Most important about this mode is that Sam becomes a COMBO MACHINE!! The stun that is caused while he is in this mode is long enough to allow him to create some very, very nasty combos. He can also do 6 hit strings when he's on the gorund. He also gains a MAJOR speed increase, allowing him to move in and out very quickly hoping for a ground combo to popup to aerial rave.
-Fire- While in PF, he gains a MASSIVE increase in strength and a MAJOR decrease in defense. But by performing the PF multiple times, defense eventually returns to normal. By the 3rd time, defense should return to normal. This is a godsend (although it may not be... explanation later). The Lightning Strike is replaced with the Flame Spiral, which is a vertical column of fire. It isn't really useful since he cannot popup opponents straight up. It is best used in the corner after a corner popup or after a PF Triple Shuriken. Oddly, his Repeating Slash gets altered so that his LP version does only two hits while his HP does NONE at the start up! However, during the both versions, you can tack in hits by pressing P as late as possible. His shuriken gets a bit of a speed increase, although it may be a bit intangible.
-Ice- While in PI, he gains an increase in defense and a decrease in attack power. He also gains the power of super armor while he's on the ground. After using the PI more than 3 times, he'll gain HYPER ARMOR!! This is even a greater godsend than the damage reduction after multiple PL's abd PF's. The Lightning Strike is replaced with his Ice Stab. When performed, Sam jumps into the air and sticks his sword into the ground. Then a sudden rush of ice comes from his sword and freezes his opponent in place. Sam then can use his Triple Shuriken or just popup and start and aerial rave. Although the damage from the stab is puny, it must be blocked LOW. His shuriken in this form only causes 3 hits compared to the regular 6. It also has a much improved recovery time allowing it to be comboed off when the shuriken connects. His Repeating Slash only deals 4 hits with LP and 6 hits with HP initially compared to 6 hits for both. The repeating slash also gets less start up lag time.
I came here to do 2 things eat pretzels and kill people and right now im all outta pretzals
Silsam is really really good in theory fighter but in actual combat he does not nearly surpass the COC tier (cream of crop tier).
Silsam short comings are he is probably the worst meter whore in the game but he cant build meter well.
He cant rush or keep away very effectively so you dont really need assist to fight him therefore you take away his major strength which is punishing assist with raimiaken.
When he uses flame mode his stamina is worse than akuma's
In lightning mode his damage output becomes weaker
In ice mode he has extra lag on his special moves and hes already laggy to begin with
You can get around his short coming to make him effective but he is not gonna reck shop with the COC tier
Back on the topic of ragequitting, honestly, they should go, since they do waste a good bit of time. I haven't played many Ranked Matches, but I still have fun when I play them. I try to learn combos so that I can eventually win. Shoot, I don't even play it all the time, since I play at my friend's house. Still, training does help.
Cable is by FAR the worst though, I mean people who use him with Cap commando's AA assist and Blackheart or Sent and just RUN all match and shoot.
To get good with Storm, Sent or Storm takes SKILL, anyone can pick up a cable and press fierce punch to shoot or do his Super Viper Beam.
You rreeeaaaallllllllllyyyyyy expect Cable to rushdown? I know why you'd have a problem with him on the new version cause of the unblockable AHVP, but outside of it, he's not as good as Sentinel and Storm, atleast in my opinion. A **** Cable will die easily cause most of them don't know what they're doing. Bait the CapComs. (=
Well if you're facing a mediocre Sentinel or a big character, by all means you can rush down Cable, I've done it works just fine, against those type of characters.
As for Cable, he PISSSES me off too. Usually when I fight Cable users, depending on their skill level I use Sentinel. Turtle, and abuse Sentinel's rocket punch and his crouching hp. After he finishes using his viper beam, IMMEDIATELY, counter with crouching HP. And try to throw in a Rocket Punch.
I think people need to stop bashing people who complain about Cable abusers. Because seriously it's the cheapest way to win. If it wasnt for that stupid AHVB then it would be much easier to take him on. But it also depends on who you are using. If you're not a pro or at a high skill level, then use the deadly four and get some good assists if the other player uses cable, if use a low tier then prepare for frustration.
I congratulate all expert Magneto players, as I know they would be on a Cable player like white on rice. Damn I wish I was good with Magneto, if only that stupid triangle jumping wasnt so hard to pull off.

I said "Do you expect Cable, a keepaway character, to rushdown?" not "Can you rushdown Cable?" (=

Of course it depends on the level because a bad Cable doesn't know what he's doing and 80% of his game would be St. Fierce x4 > Viper Beam. There are a lot of things you can do to punish. Hell, sometimes I just dash and use Cykes' AAA, which against a good Cable or a good player overall, it won't really work. You use Team Watts, right? I think doing Blackheart's AAA will open him up for ya.

I wasn't bashing anyone, but the Cables most people complain about aren't that great and are pretty easy to beat, which is why I find it silly. We all know that usually low tiers cannot compete against top tiers, unless the low tier player is way more skilled, so saying he's cheap because low tiers have a hard time against Cable is not a very good argument. AHVB is another story since it's unblockable in this version, so I'll give you that.Wait for the patch and you'll be fine.

Superjump, DF+PP, J.Roundhouse. Practice that until you get it down, then move on from there. (=

Well said, I've stomped and been stomped by cable players. The game is about skill, knowing the limits, and abilities of your team of which you have personally chosen. Out of a roster of 56 you need to choose 3 to go against the 56. If your telling me you cannot choose 3 people who can beat 1 character out of the 56 that are avaliable the problem isn't the game. Get over it and adapt like everyone else.

The infinites are the only thing that make wanna ragequit.
The 4 gods tier makes me remember the 4 gods of Mortal Kombat Trilogy (shao khan, goro, motaro, kintaro). I used to think that they were a joke like dan and ryo sakazaky.
At first, I thought that nobody could took them seriously, cause the 4 gods of the Mortal Kombat trilogy are banned for everything, but u need some skill to handle the gods of MvsC2, nothing impossible, the game became easier with them.
I still think that Low tiers needs more skills to survive, u can learn a 100% of a low tier and have to deal with the limits of them in a match.
In the end, this IS a broken game. Most people that play this game grew to accept that. If you want to keep playing low tiers, step your game up. If you'll keep complaining without doing so, don't play low tiers I guess. I don't know if people like VDO complain or not, but it doesn't matter since they DID step their game up.
But just to keep something going.. Lets say Cable IS cheap and he's the most broken character in the game. How is that the Cable player's problem? How is it the Sagat player's problem that Sagat is too good? How is it the Chun (3S) player's problem that Chun is so good? Either find ways around that character (which 90% of the fighting game community did), stick to casuals or just go find another game.
Practice, Practice, and more Practice. It wouldn't hurt to learn some combos. Sometimes I'll play a random character, just to try 'em out, and then I get better with 'em if I like 'em. FUnny thing is, I tend to go for the lower tiers. Honestly, I don't care, as long as I have fun.
