Before I start my thread about how dissapointed I am with the PSN patch. I want to emphasize that I only played for about 15 minutes this morning and still do not know about all the details. This is what I do know. The leaderboards were not reset. Worst of all the game crashed each time that I was waiting in a room with an opponent and the opponent left the room. They would leave the room and it would freeze up while trying to return to the main menu. I would have to quit the game and then boot it up again ( at least it allowed me to still turn the game off with my controller, I have had many incidents where the controller also would be no good and I would have to physically hold down the power button on my PS3 and reboot the whole system). Last but not least, I am not certain yet if rage quitting will result in a loss towards your rating. I really hope that this was just a small patch in regards to the Cable/Magneto/Jin glitches and that the patch we were all hoping for is still on its way. Regardless, kudos to Capcom for listening to our concerns and trying to address them. |

First of all , Capcom doesnt really care much for this game. Its some other company that handles their "leftovers" now. Cant remember its name, backbone or something. Anyway, yes I had the same problem of the game crashing when someone in the room leaves after a long while and it gets stuck at "returning to main menu". You don't have to reset the game though. Just press the ps3 button, go to account management , press triangle and manually logout of psn. The game will automatically take you to the main screen after a "network error". Simply sign in again ingame when your done. |

The leaderboards are being reset next Friday. This extra time is to give people a chance to finish their trophies/achievements since resetting the leaderboards resets everything (including 1 Character victories). Your other issue actually happened before the patch and is not a result of it. |

Oh, and here's how to avoid that. When you are waiting for an opponent to appear, press O (on PS3) to bring up the leave room option and don't do anything (don't leave the room). If an opponent connects you will still go to character select and start the match. If he/she leaves, it will tell you, but this time, you will still have an option to leave the room as well. This avoids the freeze up you were talking about. |

I dont think so. Hopefully the leaderboard reset drives them away. |

For the love of god, punish rage quitters. It's absurd we have to even put up with that. I used to list every name, but I realize, 70-80% of the people do it if ranked 500 or higher. If the game is really laggy, there should be a parameter that one can set... e.g. "if latency > 150 then unrank" some kind of boolean function to accomodate lagging cry babies. But there should be no excuse, takes the fun out of the game. |
