Although im grateful that we got a patch to fix some things like cable UBahvb. The most requested bug is still prevelent even after the patch. Even if you reset the boards it will just take whichever ragequitter who has the most time to be at the top again.

This thread is to throw out ideas on how to punish ragequitters, or eliminate the option to quit at all. I saw jimmey say they cant figure out when its a connection loss or a quit. I personally wouldnt mind a loss for a network connection error, if it cu the ragequitting down. I think the idea of the rank system would be awesome IF it worked properly.

We have all these people complaing about losing to god tiers, but dont realize that they are cheating the system by ragequitting and making it think you are higher then you are. Which is why you play all the people who play the top 4.

Anyways here are a couple ideas i had:

1. Eliminate the option to exit the game during gameplay. this would force people to turn off the game completely and might deter some people from ragequitting due to just annoyances.

2. If you try to exit during gameplay give a confirmation message that if they quit it will result in a loss. This will force people to turn off the system also.

I know people can come up with more, but this is all i can think of. Like i said, the ranked system would be awesome if we didnt have all these people ragequitting all the time.

Guys..let it go..

They're not fixing ragequiting.

So..if somebody regequits on you..that means that you won!

we all know that the guy  on first place on the scoreboads is a raquequiter..So that means anybody could be there regardless of his skill.

SO SCOREBOARDS ARE BROKEN.. we have to live whit that and enjoy the game

I'm happy that they have gotten some of the issues addressed.  I still hope that they will address the rage quitting.  When you go in to ranked matches, you go there to prove yourself and get gauged nationally (more or less)- A lot cheaper than going to EVO for many(yeah, I know quality players are alot harder to find on-line than at EVO.)  If you quit/drop, suck it up and take your loss!

It'd be interesting to know how other games handle it.

In the interim, ragequits are much less prevalent upon the Xbox 360 version.

A simple disconnect percentage by their gamertag would be nice.

Also, the abillity to boot anyone with a disconnect percentage over 20% from the lobby. I know picking & choosing who you play against goes against the idea of ranked matches, but I think this would be a nice subtle way of labeling someone as a ragequitter & a possible waste of time. It would be nice to see who is a quitter & then choose whether or not you would like to play with them & risk wasting your time or not.

Currently Playing: King of Fighters XII, Street Fighter IV, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Resident Evil 5

Coming Soon: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Super Street Fighter IV, Dead Rising 2, Lost Planet 2, Bayonetta, Dark Void, Monster Hunter Tri

It was said they don't have the code to 'detect' ragequitting, if someone exits on purpose or not. Something else about not being able to code it, etc. So don't code anything to detect. Just allow the match to continue if the person disconnects so the remaining player can get the win. Actual disconnets are few and far between and won't count for tons of losses or anything.

But then the quitter wont get the loss. I'd rather I dont get a win, but the lose gets a loss, than vice versa. This  quitters will STILL rise to the top eventually.

If they dont have the code to figure out why someone disconnected, then let it all count as a loss.  If someone has a poor connection we cant really blame it on those who dont.  Every single other online game regards disconnects either as a loss or a "disconnect stat".

Agreed, actualy disconnects dont happen very often. Just make everything a loss. People with crappy connectins shouldnt be playing anyways.

100% agreed. Everything should just count as a loss, next time have better internet or don't play at all.
