Capcom probably wont tell you but NPD says they might start revealing them soon.

To get somewhat of an idea, you can check either the last place on leaderboards or look at how many people rated this game 5 stars on XBLA. I think it's around 50,000 now!

I haven't seen numbers in any of the stories I've seen.  If you look at the *bottom* of the rankings, that's one way to get an estimate (since the rankings for from 1 to N, where "N' is the number of people who bought it and played Ranked online).  I saw at least 100,000 people ranked in Marvel for XBLA. =)

You also gotta take into account how many people bought it on a whim and never played it online, I'd expect a huge amount of people who bought it never played online, so going by the leaderboards will give you a starting number, just add a lot to it
