Are there any plans or thoughts of creating  "marvel vs capcom 3", with "street fighter 4" game play?

eww hopefully not! street fighter 4's gameplay does not fit this franchise if you mean graphics that would be nice but i want same speed as original

I agree with the poster above.  It would be good to see a MvC3 but not done the way SFIV was.  The game play is completely different and would not do justice to the franchise.

Wasn't the same engine used for SFIV also used for BlazBlue, and King of Fighters 12?  Those games aren't anything alike.  Just because it's engine is the same doesn't mean it's got to have the same exact gameplay.

There's no reason to use the TvC engine, because it wasn't made for HD consoles.

Imo I think the gameplay of TvC looks pretty cool, but the game just seems so much slower than MvC2. Note, I'm a turbo 2 player. Basically, I guess I would not so much mind TvC graphics, but I would definitely like to keep the same engine as MvC2.

good god no, no sprites please theyve had their day time ,now move with the times, people who critisize the tvc engine havent played the game, once you have you will realise that mvc3 should be done with the tvc engine or sf4 engine, visualy sprites can look great but animation wise and gameplay are just outdated and very cluncky, blazblue looks great though but kof12 should of been an xboxlive or psn download

You're confusing engine with arcade board. All 3 of those run on the Taito TypeX2 board (which is basically a dual core Intel PC). However, the game engines used for these 3 are totally unrelated to each other.

Also, KoFXII doesn't run in true HD.

I support a new (or remixed) Darkstalkers game!

At lest with sprites, you get smoother, and faster gameplay.  You can have a sprite punch at 3 frames, and look fine, but, if a 3D model did the same thing, it would look weird, and choppy.  But, sprites are more expensive, and take longer to make.

MvC3 should be made with models because I'm sure no one wants to wait another 8 years for MvC3.. If you're going to spend that much time on graphics, may as well put the effort into making the models look better...

Ya mvc3 should use character models. I personally prefer  3d models over 2d sprites. Seriously you 2d enthusiasts need to GET WITH THE TIMES, please explain why capcom should even go back to 2d after make an EXCELLENT transition into using models? The models worked wonders for tvc and it was on wii, Imagine if it was redrawn to adjust to PS3/360 graphics???????? The models would have looked superb.
