New Website for Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles Launched!

Jul 23, 2009 // Mattdeezie

Comic Con is a big event for Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, and we have more planned than just what is going on in San Diego.

The main thing is we have just officially launched the full website for Darkside Chronicles.

You can access the site here: www.residentevil.com/darkside

We did things a little different this time around, so hopefully you all like the experience.  I don’t want to spoil too much of what you can expect on the blog post, so I suggest you just click the link and check it out.  Please post comments of what you guys think – we’d love to hear your feedback.

The launch of the website marks the beginning of what we have in store for Darkside Chronicles.  You’ve already seen our first goodie we had planned, and trust me there will be much more being released over time up until the game launches this Winter.

Content on the website is going to be rolled out in different phases, each centered around the different sections you can play in the game.  The initial site covers off on what happened during RE2, so stay tuned for when the other sections are released.  I’ll definitely be back on Unity to give you guys the low down of what is new to check out.

To give you a hint, we are going to be doing something soon Resident Evil related with something that rhymes with “flitter.”  (I suck at giving hints…)

But… that’s not all.

This website comes with a new revamp of what we are doing with Resident Evil on the web.  We just put live a new Resident Evil portal site, which now lives at the traditional URL of www.residentevil.com .

On top of serving as a hub to link people to each of the specific titles websites within the franchise, the main purpose of this site is to put all things Resident Evil related into a single destination.  There is a ton of work out there that has been created by fans and other websites around Resident Evil, and it doesn’t really matter to us whether or not the content is created by Capcom.  We think it is all cool, and we should let people know that it exists.

We have main links to a bunch of different sites, including some of our awesome fan run community sites, to give them some official love from Capcom.  These are the people which make Resident Evil such a great franchise, so please go check them out.  You can also check out the latest news, forum topics and press articles all in a single place.

Well… that’s what I have for today.  Let us know your thoughts, and hope you like the new websites.
