Does anyone agree that the first x game is the most memorable and best out of all of them?

I would defiantly agree that the first game is memorable, but as for the best? no. X4 is the best in the series simply because it surpass the original on so many levels.

I'm surprise that many people consider the original to be better than X4. Actually, there was a thread about which Sigma boss fight was better, X or X4? most people picked X. I thought that X4 was better because that fight was more epic and entertaining.

As for X5, that game was a step back from X4 because X4 feature a redrawn look - the bosses look and animated greatly, anime cut-scenes, some pretty amusing voice acting, like this one, "Time to get serious," and a much better story from the previous games. X5 was a striped down version of that, first off, some of the bosses looked terrible - Squid Addler looked like he was originally design for the SNES MegaMan X games. Second, there was no voice acting and anime cut-scenes. The boss fight with Sigma was also a step back, all you got was a little area to fight him in and he becomes a giant head (It was a poorly structure boss fight.)

Also, X5 was suppose to be the last in the X series. Seriously, Capcom should of put more production vaule into X5 to end it on a high note.

Mega Man X4 = Best Mega Man game ever!

Please Help Support Darkstalkers HD Remix!
If enough support is made and if this game makes enough profit, then we might be able to get a new Darkstalkers sequel in the style of Street Fighter IV or even better!!!

X1 = Best game. Especially when looking at beta pics of what it could have been.

Eh, X4 sigma isn't much better than X5. You'll hardly get hit by canon Sigma or the blue head, which makes them kinda pointless. The Sigma fugly melted face isn't a challenge either because you can't get pushed to the spikes if you keep dashing. The yellow and red heads and uncovered reaper Sigma were ok though.

As for the bosses, X4 had its share of less appealing Mavericks too, like Split Mushroom or Storm Owl.

And not having voice acting is actually a good thing, especially after "What am I fighting fooooooooooooooor!!!"

Also, I think X5 had a better balance between the difficulty difference of playing as X or Zero.

X5 pale in comparison to X4. Like I said, Squid Addler looks terrible to the well drawn X4 bosses.

Strom Owl was a awesome boss, I would say he was on par with Cill Penguin from the original X game.

X4 is a big step up from the original game.

x8 was made by capcom of america.  I wonder if they still have the license.

Um... i'm pretty sure that's incorrect.

Although if it is, then it took a side branch of Capcom to re-learn what made a MM game something that can really be enjoyed?

I distinctly remember reading that mmx8 was made by capcom america.  I will try to find it though it's pretty old.  Capcom america made final fight streetwise in about 2003.  Up to now they still have the final figth license for sure.  It would be interesting to know if they still have the mmx license.

I think the X series in general (with the exception of the super crappy X6 and X7) is simply amazing.

But my favorite is definitely MMX(best game music ever!!!), I think the only word that can describe MMX to the fullest is ... Perfect.

Speaking of the greatness that is MMX, Why are there never any X series characters in crossover games?

Also, Why is it that MMX characters never get any cameos in other Capcom games?

x1 was great.but personally mhx was better you got to play vile and the final boss battle was supposed to be x only.i think instead of sigma when you play as x vile should have battle x only but it should have been like x1 then where once vile(you) beat zero you trapped him not battling both at the same time.not to mention the movie(obviusly dubbed should have made two english and **** version)which i think should have been available at the start it really makes ya wanna destroy Sigma

Please, no double posting. If needed, use the note pad icon in the top right of your post to edit...

On Topic, I like MHX and X1 about the same. X1 has sentimental value and enjoyable, where as MHX was more story plush and enjoyable.
