If there's one thing I noticed from EXE 6, it's that the contest winners in that game were designed to play a rather critical role in the plot. There were three contest winners for EXE 6, but the grand prize winner in particular (Circusman) was designed in such a way that quickly drove the plot forward.

Now, we have this year's contest winner, Clock Genius... If they're going to go with the time travel thing, Clock Genius is likely to play a critical role in the plot as well. It might also explain why he won the contest despite the not-so-good design (although chances are he was already redesigned).

I am not so sure on that. A lot of the times boss design characters are in the plot, but sometimes they aren't. I believe Swallowman was just somewhere in the internet. And Clock Genius came in kind of late considering that it is coming out later this year. Maybe the sample character given for the contest is a bigger indicator?

I also think that it is possible for it to be Star Force coming to EXE if there is Time Travel involved. Or possibly both. Duo said he would return, but when he returns it would be long after EXE. Technology is obviously more advanced in Star Force, so some kind of time travel device would be more plausible there.

Yes, the logo is designed after Rockman EXE, and the title is "ROCKMAN EXE: Operate Shooting Star." Therefore it is a Battle Network game featuring a Star Force cross-over, not a Star Force title. I expect most of the elements to derive from Battle Network.

I'm personally hoping for this to be the case as well, but I really wouldn't call the title to be an indicator of anything regarding the two series involvement in this game at this point. Can you imagine them sticking 'Rockman.EXE' anywhere else within that title without making it even more awkward than it kinda already is?

The logo used could be a better indicator by itself, although then again, it might as well be just for marketing purposes.

Considering EXE was the more successful of the two, I would think that it would be more about EXE. They could totally change the combat system. Or make it a completely different game. We don't really know any details about it.

If it will have time-traveling then it will make sense that the older series comes first and travels forward.  Don't forget the other Megamen on the poster.  It was Classic and X so maybe there will be a crossover there.

As long as the game doesn't use the starforce battle system the game will be awesome.

There's the slight possibility that Lan/Netto won't even exist in this game. Either that, or most of us just don't care about him at all compared to Rockman.EXE to bother speculating about his role. Tongue out

I don't think Lan is going to be in the game. What I think is that might happen is Megaman(EXE) data is found and some bad guy wants it becuase of his powers and somehow Geo has it and at the end the bad guy get's Megaman(Exe) and Geo has to defeat him but that's just what I think.

It will not be any one particular game.  I'm sure that this game will feature something enitrely new.

And of course there will have to be 3D battles.  If BN's stage was 3D it would look very strange.

Look at the 3D stages from the canceled BN5DS.

3D stage

Which one would be most confortable to play on?  I'd be surprised either way.

That wouldn't happen. MegaMan.exe is Hub, Lan's brother. I don't think they would just randomly discard him.
