I think they should have a new battlenetwork but instead of the main charcater being Netto and Rockman.exe it should be a navi you can customize and name at the start and a operater that you can design how he/she looks and it should be set in a new area, new characters, and new evil orginization. So what do all of you think good or bad idea.

It would certainly be a good idea, but not plausible. How many variations can you really have without actually talking to the developers on your own tastes and etc. If there were generic navi's and specially customized Navi's then i could believe that.

That's a good point nix I think the way your gonna customize the navi is like this the legs, arms, body, and head and there is going to be 8 original navis you can make at the start then you can get parts that make characters from other megaman games or you can mix the parts to make hybrids

Do not forget that most fan-navi's are based off of pieces of pre-existing net-navi's. If you could use pieces of all prexisting navis you could make an awesome game. Too bad Capcom wouldn't do that even though there is enough space in a DS cartridge.

That would be a great feature but it might lack a good storyline and plot. Regardless, we'll be seeing a new Megaman hopefully late this year or early next.

hellz yeah! (sorry for grave diggin)  Even if it's not used in the main game's story mode, custom characters would certainly make sense for the DS's wifi multiplayer capabilities.

Imagine a plaza like in Animal Crossing, where online players could walk around with their custom net battlers.  They could challenge people to battles, watch other matches, buy and trade cards etc.  Then players could fight each other with custom decks and custom navis.

And the custom character could even be introduced into the main story as a NPC--say a penpal, or tournament AI who players might have to fight.  Yes, the game wouldn't be exe without Megaman as the main character, but if this side customization ability becomes popular, it might spawn a non-narrative spin off.  That spin off might have what it takes to rival even the Pokemon games.
