that would be very cool espcially with the dsi out and not taking gba cartridges anymore.
that's 1 of my concerns. as currently, the only 4 gba games that i own are mega man zero 1, 2, 3, 4. i might get final fantasy tactics advance (gba), but if capcom makes a mega man zero compilation on a ds cartridge, i wouldn't mind using my ds lite as a gba player and then maybe getting a ds i later to be used exclusively for playing ds games.
I wanted to see if other people still had an interest in this.
An update~ I added 1 more GBA game to my collection...FF Tactics Advance.
Anyway, I'm still all up for Capcom doing this. They'll probably want to go contact Inticreates about a possible compilation as they're the ones who did the Mega Man Zero games.

I made a big effort to hunt down all the megaman zero sequals. But now they are hard to find so I understand why people would want this collection.
Funny I am playing ff tactics advance for my GBAsp system.
You could have posted a link from the prior topics about this... Plus, you may get better responses within the General MegaMan Board.
Either way, I'd like one, if it was done right. Remastered music (yes the remastered tracks), the drama tracks acted out in cut sceen, axed material added as unlockable... The works to make them Complete.
You are comparing Zero 1-4 to ZX, to ZX:A, to FFXII: RW...? Rather irrelevant. They could all fit onto 1 DS cartridge... But with Remastered tracks taking up a bit of space, and animations (if applicable)... But if it is just the 4 games, with original intact material, it would fill up the 1 cartridge. If it is with remastered tracks, possible updated to match ZX quality, with the trailers being part as a 'pre title stage animation'.
If memory space in the DS is a problem I dont think you need to worry about that.If you ever played Disgaea DS or Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days those games take up alot of memory even more than MegaMan Zero 1-4 combined. That game Disgaea had so much that they had to take out the Voise acting in the game(which was in the PD2 and PSP version)because they game held up alot of memory for a DS to take.I mean it would take a average player almost 2 years to complete everything in that game and Disgaea DS had more things in it than the PSP and PS2 version. The maximum level for all your characters was 9999 and you can use over 150 characters.I have the game for almost 2 years now and Im not even done with it.It had so much extra features that you wonder this literally the longest, hardest, and best DS game I ever seen or played the explosive specials and battle effects are nice for 2.5D DS graphics.Let me not talk about Kingdom Hearts too it has amazing 3D graphics and over different 90 missions in 10 different gigantic worlds with over a 100 different enemies and a story so long that it took me almost 2 weeks to beat it and you play as 20 different characters and has about 20 nice cut scenes with mulititudes of things and weapons for each character and power ups.Games like these it is amazing that they could fit in the DS.
So what I was saying that I dont memory is going to be a problem for collection of 4 quick games with minor amount of features. If they added more things in it like cutscenes, hidden stages, and more maybe they might have a problem and that is a big might as well you gus underestimate the DS it can even fit Gran Theft Auto and Call of Duty on it.
The DS cartridge can actually store quite a bit of data. Storing 4 GBA games (I doubt each one even filled up the GBA cartridge capacity) won't be a problem on the DS.
If they decided to replace the old music with the remastered/remixed version (even if they dont), it won't be a problem.
I don't think they need to add actual new content. The content that's already there in Zero 1, 2, 3, and 4 is fine and more than enough.
The changes I'd like to see (for those who haven't really been following this thread) are:
1. change the control layout to this... Y = main weapon X = sub weapon B = jump A = dash (can also double tap on the d-pad like usual)
2. update the graphics a little bit * this one is optional * by little bit i mean smooth it up a little bit or at least to the level of the ZX games
3. display updates top screen = action bottom screen = menu (when you press start) & map (while playing the game, displays enemies, items, hidden items, etc) bottom screen does not have to have any touch functions
4. update the difficulty level a bit * although i beat through all 4 games on the gba, i think a compilation would almost require a more mainstreaming effect * change the difficulty so that it's toned down a little bit at least * make it so that the equipment levels up a little bit quicker (was a bit tedious really)
5. maybe go back and edit the games' scripts * like if they translated it poorly of if there are grammer or spelling errors
Selling that kind of a package/compilation on the DS for us MegaMan fans and for those interested would be great. Heck, this would be something I'd consider worth $39.99, which is on the expensive side for a DS.
I think you have a good idea there but the control thing would be a bit confusing cant it be same for ZX but add a extra action Weapon Switch or maybe Zero can use all of his weapons at once.
B-jump
A-Main weapon(Z-Saber)
Y-Weapon 2(Shield or Z-Boomerang)
X-I'll think of something
R-Sub Weapon
L-Dash
Does Zero have the Z-Boomerang in Zero 1-3 and did he have 4 weapons in Zero1-3?
