What If Scenario.

Inspired by a post within the Ask Capcom, I wanted to make a topic that would pertain to a 'What If' scenario within the Zero series.

So, if there is a re-release of MMZ for the DS, and supposing it would have a play feature in a 'What If' style that would make it closer to the 'Original Concept'... We can assume there would be big changes, but ultimately would play through very similarly...

So, evident changes:

1: Copy X would be the real X. X would still be the main enemy.

2: CyberElf X would probably be replaced by a Baby Elf, or something of a Purified Sigma CyberElf assisting Zero.

3: Phantom would have survived.

4: Ceil would be few years older.

5: Mother Elf would play a role as somewhat of an Anti-Hero type. Crossing paths with Zero, and reluctantly resisting and combating Zero in applicable methods...

Any thoughts? Post up your ideas.

that idea sounds good it would make the story change dramatically in a lot of ways and you could play through different prospectives.

hold on zechs, you mean that #1 copy X AKA the real X would still be the main enemy #2 zero and the dark elf would fight even though she became the mother elf once again and even though the dark/ mother elf and zero seem to have some sort of relationship #3 because i never played the first zero i wanna ask how did phantom die and how whould he have survived.

Those are mere suggestions. Not the focus point of the discussion. But since you brought them up, I'll reiterate.

1: The Original X would be the enemy. Meaning that X wouldn't be sealed in Zero 2. He would have been dead by the time Zero 2 came around.

2: Dark Elf isn't an enemy until Zero 2. And since Dark Elf is sealed within X (look at #1), Dark Elf would be a roaming presence. Meaning more contact between her and Zero.

3: He comminted suicide in order to stop Zero from progressing after he was defeated. But taken in like that, if he retreated instead of suicide, he would have been given another chance to fight Zero as he was.

1 week with no posts, hmmm?

Well, this thread seems interesting enough, so i'll throw a few ideas around.

Story What Ifs:

Copy X is X.

In turn, Cyber Elf X is actually the Dark Elf, playing a "neither friend or enemy" role.

Omega can talk normally in his giant form.

Phantom survives Z1. Phantom becomes the leader of the guardians, not Harpuia.

Natrually, this means that Phantom also has an Armed Phenomenon form.

The guardians appear more in Z3.

Gameplay What Ifs:

Upon completion of the game with Zero, a challenge mode that allows you to play through the game with other characters (may or may not have plot, depending on the character) is unlocked.

The cyber-elves Zero uses look more like their art-work, and not balls of light. Dark Elf, along with Crea and Prea still have the usual look.

There will never be a need to level up Zero's weapons.

Upon completion of the game, there is an option to play as Zero in his X series design.

Zero's buster is a traditional buster, not a pistol.

I like this. Kinda helps when you have the Complete works at Hand too :P

but going by this idea, I don't think that the Mother Elf would be just floating around. I think she'd be looking for the baby elfs, but that doesn't disregard the fact that they would be meeting a lot more. This being said, I think that the elfs would play a more significant role in the later games.

Then why make an irrelevant post in the first place? It makes no sense to post and deny a response.

On Topic:

Continuing the 'WhatIf' scenario, how about playable X? Play from his perspective? Command the Big 4, get your hands dirty... The works.

Thoughts?

It's a nice idea. It'd be kinda like the whole Vile thing in Irregular Hunter X, but the Final Battle would be kinda awkward. Would you have to fight a battle you're bound to lose or have a completely different ending if you win?

For an X play mode, it would probably be Zero. As in X would be the guy whom is instigating peace. Assisting with oppositions, then coming into the battlefield among Zero. Meeting in the same place. The X mode would vary in a different direction. In that it would be X recruiting, destroying opposition and cementing more loyalties among his key crew.
