Normally I dont like to rant, but I had to let everyone see this awful video I found on youtube. Well this is how it all started. I havent touched my Megaman 9 for the Wii in ages, and I finally decided to turn on my Wii a few days ago. I always find a challenge playing any of the Megaman games because it's my childhood game that I grew up with. Anyways, I was eagered to play Endless Attack Mode the other day, and I was curious to see who had the highest ranking from the last time I played the game. Well.....when i finally saw the leaderboard, my jaw dropped and I was shocked! Why was I shocked? Because "A someone" hacked the leaderboard on Megaman 9. Guess how many screens? 99999 screens!! I observed it once more, and thought to myself "Look at the other scores, there's something weird about this persons score on the leaderboard" I knew right their that the leaderboard was hacked for Endless Attack Mode. Im very upset because this hack was done with that stupid Homebrew Channel that a friend told me about. The moment I seen that, I called my best friend, and asked him to check his leaderboard, and he told me he saw the same score that I saw! We immediately went on youtube, and found the person that was responsible for hacking the leaderboard for Endless Attack Mode. Sad thing is, the user was dumb enough to post a video about it, and then he bragged about it during the video. What I'm about to show you is the users video that hacked Megaman 9. Please watch carefully:

I am very disgusted due to the fact this hacker has taken the fun out of Endless Attack Mode using that stupid Homebrew Channel. Im not sure if anyone else has seen this, but there's alot of people that are very upset about this. This homebrew channel is causing nothing but problems, and I wish there was a way I could contact Capcom or get ahold of Nintendo somehow and explain this situation to them so they can clear the leaderboard, and have the hacker banned. Also, Nintendo needs to find a way to block this homebrew channel because people are also using it to play online games such as Smash Bros Brawl, and Mario Kart Wii. I dare not to go online, and play anyone random, but some friends because this really takes the fun out of playing the Wii. I hope someone views this, and can lead me into the right direction so this problem can rectified. Im so disappointed, I dont even want to play Endless Attack mode for Megaman 9 anymore because it's almost impossible to get 999999 screens, and it's not even about that, but the user that hacked the leaderboard pretty much took the fun out of the game! Megaman has always been one of my child hood games, and it took years for Megaman 9 to be released. Stuff like this should not be permitted because I know Keiji, and Init Creates worked hard to make Megaman since "US" fans requested for a Megaman sequel. This is low, and I will not tolerate this hacking anymore for the wii. Especially for one of my favorite games. I understand people use cheats/hacks to play video games when it's needed, but to use hacks for leaderboards, and online games? It's awful. Please Capcom or Nintendo, do something about this problem! Alot of people are growing tired of this hacking with the Homebrew Channel!

This is bad news, hacking indeed takes the fun out of people like us who enjoy playing the game legit. However I do disagree about having the homebrew channel banned completely as it is a great asset to me as it lets me play Wii games from different regions, some of which might never get released over here in Europe.

It is bad news. I just dont want to see other games like Megaman 9 be hacked especially for online gaming. Yes the homebrew has it's advantages allowing you to play imported games, but people are really abusing this, but I do agree with you on that Ian. Not sure what Nintendo will do about this situation. Even if they come up with a update, the hackers will be able to bypass it like it's nothing. I just want them to fix the leaderboard that's all.Cool
