I made it to Ostrich, and I lost a couple times... Now another X-HUNTER has spawned at this same stage!
Am I supposed to, and should I fight Agile here? If I beat Ostrich before him, won't he take that as me turning down his challenge???
These additions are really NOT needed. MMX was just fine. If they wanted to add in other Boss Fights like this, they should have thought it through more clearly. I fought Agile, and I'm in no way able to beat him yet.
I went ahead and just restarted so I could face Agile @ Crab's stage, like I'm supposed to.
I get the Heart Container, I make my way up the wall, to reach Agile's stage, lose a lot of health destroying the Fish Sub, revert back down to gain life and a sub tank back- and when I finally get back to Agile's door- IT WON'T LET ME IN!!!
DAMN you Capcom! I thought I found a gem in MMX, but instead I come to understand that you ruin ALL of your games with idiotic ideas.

anyway, why dont you stop sucking and play the game how it is?
there is no "right" door for each counter hunter. You look at the stage select and wherever they are at that point is where you have to go. be it Bubble crab, or Flame stag.
But seriously? all this over a 14 year old game? a 14 year old SNES megaman X game? are you serious?

he is a sprite with a boss AI pattern and programmed dialogue lines. He cant think. he's not ging to get offended, because he's just a bunch of code and an image.
what he will do, is follow his programming, and show up somewhere else on the map, in another stage. you go there, and fight him. that simple.
if you cant beat him, they maybe beat a few more boees to get their weapons, fill up your subtanks, (actually, if the counter hunters are giving you THAT much trouble, the n I suggest finding all the subtanks first, and filling them up. try to get the buster upgrade and the dash boots too.\
then give it a try, and try again and again till you beat him. thats how vido games work. thats the purpose of extra lives.
and they change because that way its more of a challenge.
but seriously, stop complaining about it. if you cant beat them, then use a password and skip them.

Hell, even GameFAQS has a better Mega Man community than you trolls, and I haven't even checked if they've replied to my thread yet. When I asked for an opinion on my MMX run through, I was given at least one normal answer.
Yet, the first reply to this thread, is someone ignoring the topic, and trying to act like a mod.

How many people have not played a Mega Man game and not experienced trial and error? It's sad that you'd attack a newb over something such as this. I hope Sev and all the other mods take notice of this thread and black list all of you who have chosen to flame me because I asked for help, was ignored, and then was angered because this "community" decided to flame me instead of helping.
The guide I'm following tells me that I can't fight a Hunter if I fight the Maverick first. I've tried this myself. If I fight Ostrich, Agile doesn't respawn in any map.
I appologize for the fact I haven't played this game 30 times, I figured that was apparent by the first post telling you I'm a complete newb.
