My gripe: Model ZX, X, and A can output stronger shots while dashing, why does model F have to stand still when shooting? My other gripe: I want to punch people without charging up my attack. Plus, with the advent of model A's homing shot, F's custom shot is sort of outdated, and not nearly as fun to implement. If the developers are going to make you stand still while shooting, they should make your first attack, from a given hand, a punch! This means you won't be able to rapid fire with two digits (the punches are slower than normal attacks), but so what? Punch people and send them flying! If I could make only one change, I'd add an auto-charge head chip. If I could make more changes, I'd set rapid fire for both guns (since they auto charge when not firing), and make first-strikes punches regardless of charge level. If I could do more? I'd add a jumping ground-pound: If I jump, press down and attack, I want my landing to include a fire wave without having to charge for it. These changes wouldn't require any new sprite work, and would be variations of elements already introduced in previous games. How would you guys change Model F? (or do you like it just the way it is?)

I really disagree. I'm interested in each model as they stand alone, and I want to avoid a "this model is better than that" style race to the bottom. Sure, the topic you suggest is a good one, but it's not what I'm interested in. And thanks for posting. You're contribution is as relevant as...ah who am I kidding. Flame, did you even read what this thread was about before posting? |

I would not have responded in the manner I did otherwise. I read what its about, but I dont think it was nessesary to have ALL those topics for one model. Its wastefull, sts.. and takes up forum space. plus, that discussion is really inevitable, since theres bound to be someone who says "this one was fun, but I like [insert letter here] better" |

As for the topic on hand, The only thing I would really change is that in ZX1, a halfway charge would still release fire, if im right. So you couldnt do just the Megaton crash without the fire. and it wasted BME. I would give it the ZXA treatment, where the halfway only does the punch without fire. But then again, heh, they already fixed it in ZXA, so yeah. |
