Well, I'm one of the few lucky people whom have the choice of all three systems. I could have got it on the Wii, X360, or PS3. However, I chose to get it on the PS3. Why? Although the Wiimote does make a fairly good NES controller when sideways, I think the Dualshock 3 controller is actually more NES-like than the Wiimote is. Another reason why I chose the PS3 version is because I have a 32" 1080P Toshiba Regza and the only console I have that can truely take advantage of it is the PS3 with HDMI. I must say, NES graphics have never looked more crisp! |

I chose the wii since that's the new gen console that I own...Plus I like the wiimote because it makes it feel more like it's on the NES with the buttom layout and all.

I've got it for the PS3 (because it came out before the Wii version in Europe) and the Xbox 360 version (for achievements!). I plan on getting the Wii version in the not to distant future as well, as well as getting all the DLC for at least one of the consoles. I'm quite surprised at the 360 version though, I was worried that the controls might be a little fiddly (Castlevania SOTN had this problem) but these seem spot on! I still like the PS3 version slightly more though (seems brighter/more vibrant).

I think that might be why the 360 release took longer...wanted to refine the controls on it.
What do you mean exactly that it "look more vibrant" on the ps3?

The grahics just seem brighter and clearer, for me the 360 ones seem just a tad darker (Its impossible to really notice unless you play one and then the other). Also it might be down to my setup, my PS3 uses an HDMI cable while my 360 uses component cables. I was under the impression MM9 was held back due to Duke Nukem 3D being released the same week as MM9 on Wii and PS3 and Microsoft didn't want 2 big Live Arcade games being released at the same time.

Maybe that...I was just posting a random thought. I don't own a 360 so I had no idea...Duke Nukem 3D was a classic game however.
Could very well be the cables since HDMI provides much less interference than component cables do.

Wii, which from what I hear is the closest thing to an NES experience.

I only bought it for the Wii. Although...I do have an arcade stick for my PS3...and I always wanted to try out Megaman on the arcade stick... |

I bought it for the Wii, even though I have all three of the systems. I feel Mega Man feels right at home on a Nintendo system. Plus, the game can easily be played w/ the wiimote. I would love a NES cartiridge version though! I love the light and smaller feel of the NES controller. Does anyone know where to find the wii -> nes controller adaptor again?!?! |
