Unfortunately, I have a few deadbeat friends who borrow games that magically "disappear". Megaman Anniversary Collection was a sad victim of this. So, I got to thinking, given the Wii's much more mainstream appeal, and a bit of retro-cool style, why not make a Megaman Anniversary Collection for it? Given the amount of additional diskspace, why not also include Megaman & Bass? Megaman 8, specifically, I don't anticipate to ever be release on Virtual Console, not to mention an increasingly shrinking harddrive, I'm really hesitant to wait on all the titles being release for download. Would make an awesome collection to add to my..... uh....... (searches through dictionary).......... cache of video games. In a similar vein, why not give the X series an updated collection, using the *original* SNES Megaman X3 version, and throw in Megaman X8 (a great game, imo)? |

I'd love a collection with MM1-7, MM8 (Sega Saturn version), MM&B, Wily Tower, and MM Wily's Revenge, II, III, IV, and V with 8-bit sound enhancement and full colorization. It'd be really awesome. |

It sounds like a good idea but the virtual console kind of takes care of all of our Mega Man needs with the exception of 8. I get the feeling that we will see more Mega Man titles on the virtual console. Maybe not soon but in the Wii's future if not then perhaps with the successor to the Wii. I still would like to see the canceled Mega Man project on GBA come to life someday in one form or another though. |

MM8 is actually a pretty big one, for me. I would love to see it on Virtual Console, but the Wii concerns with with its built-in harddrive. Then again, I suppose they're adding N64 titles; no reason they couldn't fit something from the Sega Saturn on there. |

Yes, a PROPER collection would be most awesome.... with the titles PERFECTLY emulated (unlike the Anniversary Collection).
With a slick set of options such as: Anti-Ailasing (On/Off) Legacy (On/Off) Interlacing (On/Off) Controller Setup
and other goods, like arranged music.... and (yeah, I'll go there) NEW CHALLENGES!!! |

Hahahaha, yeah, best to avoid those Atomic Planet clowns like the plague. Seriously, how do you not include a button config in a game like this? Especially after making the layout awkward for anyone who's played all the MM games to date(note that I'm referring to the GCN version, IIRC the PS2 version did have such a config)? I could understand it back in the days when every KB on a cart was precious, but in modern games there's just no excuse for it. ...Incidentally, I still have my early 2003 pre-order slip for the GBA MMA collection. I suppose I could go turn it back in to retrieve my $5, but I still want to dream damn it. XD

I don't think this is necessary since you can still get a copy pretty cheap on eBay for the GCN. |

Personally, I'd just love MM3-7 on the virtual console. It's too bad that it's pretty much impossible for 8 to get there :( |

Well, if we ever get the Saturn on the VC then that solves that little roadblock. |
