yeah..seems like this forum has the cream of the crop....since it seems like its so on the DL only true fans seem to post on it.

I would never join a gamefaq forum...too many "derr i don't know how to do this help me" posts I'd assume.

Well, my beef with Gamefaqs is you have too many trolls there who deny their trolls, yet they constantly wanna argue with everyone. Here I think since there's forums catered to fans, you probably won't find too many trolls.

I just don't like the way they complain.  A lot.  Over everything.  I haven't seen anyone argue over Protoman's price or any other inane detail since I got here.  Everyone just wants to be friendly and share their opinions about the series we all enjoy.  I'm guessing it also doesn't hurt that we're all willing to pay $50 for a NES box and cart with a CD.

Not to mention the mountain of complaints about the pricing of MM9, I thought $10 was a steal of a price for a new Megaman game (I've paid £40+ in past for the NES MM games so I thought this was a bargain). Most people just ranted about the graphics looking "crap" and ignoring the effort that obviously went into making the game so damn good. Then theres the "this game is so hard its impossible" whining....

Then again, this is the internet, and whining comes with the territory. I'm just pleasantly surprised that the number of arguments here on these forums are kept to a minimum. Hopefully it'll stay that way.

We're all nice now, but I have a feeling once the Retail box promo is over with, this place is going to clear out, but not before the inevitable screaming and kicking from the less mature people who didn't get one.

Likewise.  I've passed through a few
developer/publisher-hosted message boards before (BioWare being the
most recent) but I've never seen any of these communities have so much
real unity.  I'm staying so you guys are all stuck with me. Tongue out

Stuttering Craig said it best, $10 for a full game. Feels like your ripping off Capcom. :P

Played the demo on PS3, havn't had the time to download the full version.

But I was impressed with Mega Man 9 because it brings back to the late 80's and early 90's with its brillient graphics and tough bosses.

They're probably limited because they wanted to give them to people they felt deserved them. It's entirely in their discretion and I'm sure they have their reasons. I hope the guys at the company got to keep some for themselves, though. That box art is epic!

Plus Protoman is just plain awesome.  I remember getting the action figure as a kid and being totally stoked.

Absolutely. It's like finding a new home.
