"Only" 200 press kits...I just thought about it

I can understand why many of us haven't been picked for codes yet. Every time they make an announcement about it, a ton of people show up. In a day or two a portion of that influx of posters are now familiar faces and quality posters, while most of the others don't really contribute much outside of the begging sector. They get to see who the truly devoted fans are and build the community at the same time. If the codes were given out all at once, it would be harder to tell who the devoted fans that genuinely want to contribute to the community are.

By the time this is all over and done with, this place should have a solid amount of regular posters that just happen to be hardcore MM fans as well. By then it shouldn't take the prospect of a reward to encourage participation.

First of all, I've noticed a lot of Aarons here, like the poster above me.

2nd of all, I admit, I did come here recently because I heard they were giving away the boxes. BUT, i didn't know it existed in the first place, so I'm glad I now know about the forum.

3rd. MM9 is incredible.

That is all :)

With only "200" I say we have a big bear pit.  They film it, and sell tickets over Pay Per View.  Last standing 200 or less people left standing get the kits.  It might be harsh, but that's sure one way to roll.

This place is nice. Gamefaqs is filled with extremely annoying users. Other fansites are usually really tight cliques and extremely elitist. This place is juuuuuussst right.

I expected there to be a lot of dumb running around here in lieu of the retail package promotion, but I have yet to facepalm on the Unity Mega Man forums. I'm impressed.

I was gonna come in and be like "OMG OMG OMG I WANT A RETAIL PACKAGE OMG IM SUPERFAN I DESERVE IT" just trying to troll, ya know? But i decided better on it, my first impression should be of a friendly, knowledgeable fan.

I'd participate.

I don't know why Gamefaqs is considered a viable forum

Gamefaqs can work sometimes. It's biggest asset, and subsequently it's biggest weakness is the amount of users. You're almost guarenteed to find what you want on the forums but you have to dig through a lot of crap.

I didn't know there were GAMEFAQS forums. I'm really new to this stuff, but it's great so far. I always avoided online communications because I heard there were lots of people who'd just pick on you because they can. The only things I've found here are awesome people (I can't believe there are other people out there as obsessed with the Blue Bomber as I am) and lots of great info on the main Blog from the Admins. I hope all of you stick around after the press kits go out. :D

If we do the bear pit, we need to have the cage over the top with the crazy chanting people a la Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome!

I totally agree with you on this.

Sure, as much as I've been bashing Gamefaqs here, I think tehre are tiems Gamefaqs work. It work swell as a resource to find tips and hints. And sometimes to share conversations of any game out there. But there are sooo many bad threads, that it becomes unbearable.

I've beena Gfaqs user for a really long time, but mostly only for the FAQs and stuff. The only forum i've realy posted on has been the wii MM9 forum, which gave some REALLY good tips about the wily levels, and about what was coming up.
