I got both. Owning the carts is nice, but HD tvs are not very nice to older systems. Also now I don't have to dig out a copy of anniversary collection to play them on my projector.

I know if i play older systems on HDTVs there's a delay, and no way to fix it ):

So playing them on the wii with component cables eliminates that problem.

Pretty much what others have said, for $5 a pop I am just lazy enough to make it worth not having to swap mariokart out for the anniversary disc.  and Yeah NES does not play to nice on a plasma.

I was going to buy them before MM9 came to the Shop channel, but then I realized I could either get them or get the dlc on MM9. Seeing I have MMAC, I chose the dlc.

Nope. My philosophy is not to rebuy a game I already own in some form on another console. In this case, I already had Mega Man Anniversary collection for the GameCube. I wouldn't mind if someone gifted it to me though. Saves me the trouble of swaping discs. Wink

No need, I have the MM Anniversary Collection and I also have the MM2 NES cart sitting in my room.

When it comes to the classics, I stick w/ a crappy wood cabinet tv and the NES. I am one of those guys that needs the authentic feel. I have to admit, it is a great way to "educate" these young gamers about the roots to their addictions.

Not yet, I don't have any Wii points at the moment. When I do I'll buy them.

It had been a long time since i'd played MM1, and when i got it on VC i remembered what it was like to have my butt handed to me in a paper bag.

I really do think MM1 is the hardest game in the classic series.
