I have been true to my word by not using any walkthroughs, guides, spoilers, etc... but now I feel completely guilty for using an E tank during a boss fight. Anyone else feel the same way? I don't feel as hardcore as I once did when I was younger. :( |

Don't sweat it. The fact that you can buy them in this game make them welcome.
If you do want to prove your awesomeness, then complete all the challenges. |

I refused to use any guides and etc. too, but I still used E tanks every once and a while. Don't feel guitly, the best of us will use them when needed. |

I don't feel so bad right now. Proving my awesomeness by completing all of the challenges is pretty hardcore in itself, maybe you are right. |

I try to avoid using Energy Tanks wherever possible as I find it more fun and challenge to do without them but Megaman 9's final boss left me know choice the first few playthroughs though I have since managed to beat him without one. MM7's Wily still kicks me around every time I fight him though so I need to stock up on E-Tanks for him.

I realized too that I am not that hardcore yet. I have to memorize the layouts and patterns a lot more first. I know it is very possible to zoom through the game w/o using one! |

hehe im waay more hard core then you guys i (in all megamans) never use etanks and use only the megabuster(unless a special is nesicery) plus i play without a helmet in this game XD double damage FTW |

I had the same issue going though the game the first time. I did not need to actually use a e-tank untill good ole Dr.W. I am hoping to fix that on my next run. |
