Alright so I just bought a wii and I was playing Megaman 8 on Anniversary Collection. The first thing I hear is that the music is normal just like the PS1 version. Does anyone know why?

No idea. I went with the PS2 version.

I don't really understand what you're asking about.  Why would the music be different?

Now, for the NES games 1-6, which have remixed soundtracks from the Complete Works versions, you can select the remixed soundtracks in the options menu, but only on the PS2 version.  But 8 never had a remix version, and the Gamecube version doesn't have any remixed music.

Does that answer whatever question you forgot to ask?

I have the original PS1 Megaman 8 so I rarely play the anniversary Megaman 8 but in the GC version the music is messed up and starts like halfway through the song.

However when I got my Wii I was playing Megaman 8 on the AC and the music was almost identical to the PS1 one so I'm asking how that happened.

I did'nt want to say it...

But the developer (capcom) did'nt take the time to fix the problem.

I have'nt played the nintendo version yet and I don't know if there is any extras, if not then they likely just transfered the game exactly how it was on the PS1.

I dunno if I missed something, but I too have only ever played the PS1 and GC Anniversary versions, and they've always had the same songs (in both the Gamecube and Wii, though I don't know how that would affect it anyway). I never even heard the other song until a couple years ago on the internet.

The song is the same but in the GC version it starts like halfway into the song.

The PS2 version was quickly made and marketed half fast, so no one really beta tested it for errors like the scratchjy sound in MM6 or the squeeky voices in MM8 or the lack of an ending in MM7. I blame the beta testers for these mistakes that they overlooked.

Well said, exept dont blame it on the testers. The testers job is to test the game and give information at what problems exist and what should be fixed. The testers likely told capcom to fix the problem, but no one listened.
