well I can pretty much pass all the 8 robot master stages without alot of difficulty but those Danm fortress stages are annoying. |

I think you brought up a good point when you said modern players dont expect a challenge like mega man 9. Players today are also expecting more of an open world 3-d type game, so going back to the classics welcomes a whole new challenge. |

I say that once again even thouh its amazing, its definitely not the hardest, I have a lot more trouble on say 2 or 3 than I do on 9, but yeah its really much harder than most of the games you see on todays market, so I'm glad they made the game like this, and I hope for a 10 with the same advantages.

Alright so I absolutely love Wily's stages 1 and 2's theme. I'll try to beat Wily tommorow and DL protoman tommorow. |

Megaman 9 was a nice wake up call difficulty wise compared to most games released today. I must have died dozens of times clearing the game for the first time while after a couple of playthroughs I could get through it without dying once. I was glad that the game wasn't toned down difficulty wise to cater to a larger audience (Capcom did this with Devil May Cry 2, I still haven't fully forgiven them.) Saying that I still can't clear Hornet Man's stage as Proto Man with only the buster, one of his 3 hornets always manages to kill me in the end.

"Megaman 9 would be hard for people that's not use to retro 8 bit style. I could be wrong, but the game was fun, and it had its moments when it came to some challenges. The first level of Dr.Wilys castle was a challenge especially the part with those beams going back and forth @__@; Haha thats what youll expect from a old school classic Megaman game, but hey im not complaining. Im just glad my favorite character is finally making a comeback." |

Yep, it's pretty easy after you get the swing of things. Even Hero and Super Hero Modes (with the exemption of one level in the latter) are easy after you've gotten used to normal mode. All Mega Man games are the same in this way but somehow this one just seems to make people the most frustrated. I'm guessing that most of the people who complain about the difficulty have just forgotten, over ten years, how Mega Man games work, or never learned in the first place.

Well to this day I still have not beaten the game with Megaman since I only play protomode.
The second level is easy for the most part but I get nervous on the part where your underwater, there's spikes etc The third level is easy The fourth one is easy except for Wily and Magma man. |

Well, it depends on what stages you consider "easy" since everyone has their own personal opinion about the game.

"Just saying the game was too "easy" would take the fun out of it in my opinion. Im good at Megaman games, and each title that was released has always had a twist in the game. It's interesting. No I just wont flat out say its easy, but I will say it was challenge, and I had alot of fun playing the game. Early 90s games can make a comeback. 8bit I believe are still the hardest games in the gaming industry until this very day. We all remember those evenings just playing Ninja Gaiden, Super Mario 3, and other NES titles that we grew up with a challenge. People will say Megaman 9 is easy because they have kept up with the old school NES titles, and thats cool, but I think we all should just acknowledge that Megaman deserved another shot in the gaming industry. Lets just hope we get a part 10 in the near future." |
