People, please read my tutorial COMPLETELY. I stated at the top in a note that you do NOT need to be on the japanese account to use AdHoc Party, I also give instructions on how to navigate AdHoc Party and how to join/set up a room. The Monster Hunter world is J50, there is almost ALWAYS MH rooms in there. I will be happy to help with any and all questions/problems, but please just read through the tutorial first, CAREFULLY Also, don't message me on PSN as it takes forever to type out a message and I am the only one to see your question. Just post it here, I am *almost* always on the forums, and there are other people who can help you here.

Either or will work, but be warned, MHF1 can ONLY play with MHF1 and the same for MHF2.

well, I kind of figured that. Thats good to know though =] I just need to figure out how to hook my psp directly to the router with LAN cable. my ps3 is utilizing wi-fi and as I have read from your tutorial guide, that is NOT how you do it. The reason is that my cable and my ps3 are in different locations and I can't really move it since it isn't my ps3. I can't just put it next to the person's computer either. They'll wake up and see their ps3 on their desktop and be like wtf? errr... thanks again. When I move in a couple of months I'll try to convince them to place their ps3 in a better spot or I'll get my own. |

Yea, it won't work with WiFi. A simple solution is to just get a huge ethernet cable...though you prolly don't want that snaking all around the house, but there are ways to go about a situation like that, I've found 100 ft ethernet cables for 10 bux on occasion floating around the internet.

This makes me want a PS3 even more, and I know it would be fairly easy fpor me since I already have a 50ft ethernet cable running up into my room, and the cord goes right past my video games so it will be quite easy to set this up :)

Nice AdHoc Party Tutorial, indeed.
I think that I may have seen a official Sony Article a few months back that pointed-out that Sony will be bringing the Ad-Hoc system to NA users within a few months or so.
I either saw the information on playstation.com or PSN-Blog.

? Pretty sure Sony has made no official word on a localized AdHoc Party. They have even deleted threads regarding AdHoc Party on their forums. However, I would love to be proven wrong.

I usually don't post things that I can't prove in at least two seconds... however, this time I steped out of bounds with My last post..
If I happen to find the information that I'm sure that I saw a few months back I'll post it in this thread!!
On another note; despite My previous dumb assertion about the AD-Hoc system... I will presume that a NA AD-Hoc system would be well welcomed by American video-gamers, and it might play into the overall sells of MHFU also.

I by no means intend to shoot down any hopes/disprove what you say. Just that, members of this forum have gone to the sony forums asking about AdHoc Party, and the topics were mysteriously deleted without notification or reason. I totally agree that if Sony decided to embrace AdHoc Party in the US/UK, it would certainly help their position on selling hardware. This isn't to say that AdHoc Party would be the deal breaker for most people, but its a substantial perk for a Sony rep to say, "Well, with this new program, owners of both a PS3 and PSP will be able to bring their multiplayer PSP games online with gamers across the world" Many gamers own a PSP but not a PS3 and vice versa. AdHoc Party might be one of the determining factors for consumers to invest in the other system since in the US/UK, people are very spread out, unlike Japan where it is very densely populated and even hobos have a PSP with monster hunter.
