I've posted up a blog with some videos I found for the Gunlance, it's basics, combos, and a tribute video. Some of these videos may be old and some of you have seen them, but to anyone new to the series or Gunlances you should check these out.

Please do not link videos that contain the 2G English Patch, as that is not allowed here. Thanks.

Yup, its versatility more than makes up for its sluggish behavior. Though if you know what you're doing you can move pretty quick with that thing. I don't think a lot of people know of the back hop reload, which cuts some of that reload time and lets you keep moving and stay fully loaded.

(If you haven't seen the videos fully, a back hop reload is as simple as "X, O")

Yeah I really love abusing Wyvern fire and if you can knock 'em without it, a nice Wyvern blast to the face is satisfactory. Also love sneaking up on 'em when they're sleeping. BOOM dead.

FYI, the GL block-attack is not as fast in Unite as it wa in MHF2  :(

All of gunlances melee attacks have been slowed down.

They still strike with the same speed, but you must wait slightly longer before being able to strike again.

The wyverns fire has also been altered, you now get pushed back MUCH further for using it, which also increases the knockback time.

Bit of a shame really, since the GL in MHF2 isn't exactly *overpowering* so I really don't see how this was justified.

But whatevs

in one sense, that might be better because the pushback wil get you away from the monster while you cant move so you cant get pummeled right after using it
