also sonic bombs can make him visible for a few moments he can also poison you and lower stats so bring lots of antidotes and different stat boosters demondrug etc etc. also if you notice when a monster notices you and you run in a direction not facing the monster you run like your crazy wasting alot of stamina what ive noticed is that if you run towards an enemy you run normally so thats a good trick to find out were he is

why fear the uknown when you can conquer and eat it
when in doubt kill it with fire that seems to do it

for the sonic bombs, you need to time em just right. like when you know hes about to turn visable for a sec, throw it and it should explode when he's visible. youll know if u got it right. its kinda tricky tho

Now Playing MHF Unite, Suikoden, and Borderlands.

Waiting for MH Tri(NA)! (Thanks Capcom! XD)

Good hunting! However, the sonics are really not that much of a help. He can return to invisibility immediately after you toss. My strategy is to wear poison resistant armor. A short sword is a good choice for rabid multiple hits when you do locate him. Also, don't forget to paint and keep it painted.

Chameleos is kinda tricky Elder Dragon... You definitely need a good Dragon based weapon, some anti-thief jewels and paint balls... As we know this guy loves to hide and even if you have psychic vision it wont show up in your map... But Paint it with some paintballs and you will see a dim yellow spot in the map that will reveal the area it is in... It helps if time is killing you...

Use flash bombs and attack its face a lot... Always stay on his side to avoid being sprayed with that yellow stuff that drains your stamina...  Don't get greedy... just attack, roll/ dodge and repeat... You will kill it in no time...

IMO, anti-poison is better than anit-thief. He usually steals only your healing stuff.
