On the topic of Minegarde (fictional location) While it is indeed called the *City of Minegarde* It doesn't exactly prove that the world isn't called Minegarde. It would be like calling a city, "City of Earth" The mere fact that there is a city named Minegarde proves nothing, for or against, the notion that the *world* is called Minegarde. I've always thought/heard that the world was Minegarde, and its such a cool name so thats what im sticking with atm. :P On the topic of Croda, please be a smidge more respectful, like it or not, we are related in the fact that we are both websites of the same obsession, Monster Hunter. XD

MH frontier is its own world, like manga's breaks several rules. In early ps2 and psp's Minegarde is name of the world Mh takes place in.
I know Past few game have made Minegarde plot of land, with Dondruma and other locations around it. But it was origanlly the world, I know in MHu, its now call a city...and at same time the world. -_- Seems like who ever translated those parts mixxed 2 games.

I dunno, it definitely is either a mistranslation or a misinterpretation of the translation. The first Hunter's Encyclopedia came out after MH1, and even in that it's very clearly stated that Minegarde is the name of the online town. Also, there is a problem with the one piece of evidence we have so far that supports Minegarde as the name of the world. That screenshot said "I am the top geographer in Minegarde", and that would be gramatically incorrect. Compare it with "I am the top geographer in Earth". It would at least have to be "on Earth", right? While one could assume that the world shares the name of the city, there is as of yet no proof to support it. We should not spread misinformation stemming from an assumption.

well heres the cut and dry of it. the guys at minegarde forums can be total jerks, and alot of other names. but... they have alot and i mean ALOT of usefull information over there. for all the monster hunter games... and they have alot of info you can use for stuff that we cant talk about here. like playing frontier and things like that. the ban for talk of illgal stuff just like here. only thing is alot of them are jerks... AND OMG!!!! FRONTIER IT SO FREAKING SWEET!!!hr11. the hr's go up to 999 wtf! |

I just hope I can find a new site like croda that can change my 2G save into a unite save. I only used them for that and the resource maps. Good thing I have those on my computer now. Man its been awhile since I've been here. Been busy with not being in college for the summer and stuff. Looking forward to getting MHFU shortly.

The monster hunter wiki says its the world as well ( monsterhunter.wikia.com/wiki/Minegarde ) And i got my info from that pic that Yuffie posted, and other little texts in freedom. Otherwise it would be a very big mistranlation.

Well, town or world, shouldn't the focus be on expanding the gameplay area and not on which is which.
