What should i use??? Every time i go to do the full gs charge my life goes down like weeeey down! Can i get some help??? Im stuck! |

I kill her fast with a good longsword go for the back legs when it starts to blow fire u can pull out a full combo i use the fire dragon sword u can also try DS. |

Big problem your having is the aura lunastra keeps up around her. Its a fire aura that does considerable damage to you no matter what (when your near her). What you need to do is break the head, or poison her. Once the head is broken the aura will be gone until she dies. If you poison her the aura will only be gone as long as poinson is up. Hitting the head is a difficult task, try using flashes and traps. I use Dragon Ele DS so after 3 traps i have the head damaged, if not broken, pretty close. With a GS im not sure, you'd definately have to trap her and then charge, and hit her head with it. |

Ummm... Traps? Really? Please show me these magical traps that can work on elder dragons XD There is a skill that negates her aura, Terrain Damage. This negates teo/luna auras as well as being able to stand next to lava without taking damage. Also, drinking an immunizer helps out with the aura. Flashes on elder dragons=no no for me, they often make them attack wildly, making them harder to predict and attack. Just wait for her to do her flame breath, and be on HER left side (that would be your right) The way she sweeps the flame, it gives you enough time to start attack her face from the side while shes still breathing, netting you some extra attacks. Also, new with Unite, you can tell if her explosion will be long range or short range. If she waits a while before biting, it will be long range, allowing you to run in while the powder is still disbursing throughout the air.

You can also check the range of her fire ring attack by the speed with which she flaps her wings. I can't remember which is whic, but I think it's if she flaps quickly, it'll be long range. But yeah, traps don't work. The only semi-easy way to fight is to use immunizers to help out with the fire aura, attack the side during flame breath, and attack the face during a long-range fire ring. She jumps around a lot, but there's no reason to rush the fight, so just take it easy and stay patient.

How to kill lunastra. by Quagmire. recomended armor + wepon : 300-350 (elder Q) + onslaught (forget GS its much eaier to kill with hammer) items: 10 mega potions, 2 max potions, 5 cold drinks the tactics are easy just charge the hammer till u get a flash then (always use charge shots unless u KO her then go for tripple pounds)...: if she tackles you release the charge just as shes about to turn to face you for a head strike then roll either left or right (note ur out of range of her fire aura) wen she does the spark bombs smack her head then roll into her to avoid the bombs (she does the bomb strikes around her most of the time so u basicaly have a 8/10 chance of avoiding it by jumping into her) wen she does tht flamethrower attack make sure ur standing on her lef side and wen the flame goes back let lose an she will drop in no time |

i do not recommend using a hammer on Lunastra unless you are very accustomed to using one. they are slow and bulky while luna is rather fast. i am not saying that hammers are bad or they should never be used, you should just have some hammer experience under your belt before tackling an elder dragon with a hammer :D

hes got a good point i tryed a daora with hammer it took me less time for me to die than with long sword and thats what weaqpon i specialize on LS qiuck moves good dodge and spirit combo |

There is no best weapon type. Use what you are comfortable with. Don't let ANYONE tell you different. XD

Bastion is right. Use whatever weapon u are comfortable with. I use the Basarios armor for the terrian dmg reduction and immunizers and coooked fish to catch the rest of the dmg. Not everyone has elder dragon armor and awesomeness. I completed Chief 6 star quests before I got anywhere near HR2 LOL. So basarios armor and I use a GLance for EVERYTHING, but it comes down to whatever you like using.
