I'm late to this thread, and I'm not aware how the MH-world works when it comes to gear/weapons. But are you saying to me that if I go online with my level 1-5 character and I have a gear/weapon for a level 30+ character in my inventory I'll get banned?

1. necroed but you already stated that.

2. the game doesnt really work with equiptment in lvls like that but basically thats how it is if there wasn't any way to get it where your at.

EDIT: Theres no inventory for weapons, there a storage box for all weapons and armor. Also weapon/armor can't be traded, only item that help in the battlefield.

Capcom has this held down if it's anything like the first game. Back then a friend of mine used a gameshark to get a HR13+ sword when he was HR5. He was perma banned 2 days later.

To prove that Capcom is VERY serious when it comes to hacking/cheating online, here is a prime example of what such a user can expect.

Regardless of how *hackable* the Wii is, Capcom knows how to spot them, and judging from this article, they know how to deal with them too.

This Wii is no longer banned from playing Monster Hunter Tri online.

Personally I don't care if I'm playing with a hacker as long as they don't have some obscene attack (463863826483) and one hit kill fenshenlon. I want to kill said monster and want it to be a challenge not some one hit killing spree. Sure it'd be sweet getting the carves and all but that just ain't right

Exactly. As long as my experience is not ruined, I will be fine with the person who has the extremely rare armor. He needs it; afterall, he will be the one who gets hit all the time.

Can you trade items in MH3? As in giving the person who is running out of potions some more.

Yeah you can probably trade potions it'll probably be kinda like mh1 in a sence,  where you can trade certain items of a certain rarity.

NA not US now face my Dragon Punch.
I need to train harder, i'm not strong enough yet.
Rathalos has nothing against me hahaha, Hyaa.

If Capcoms super server-side software isn't programmed to take these factors into consideration, you will be flagged by Capcom and banned. There aren't too many items that CAN be gotten before a certain HR level but an HR! perticipating in an Event can end up with reward items that will allow you to get items, sometimes by trading with those quest trader guys, before you should normally be able too. It's been happening since MH1.

It has been stated in these forums in a few topics about cheating that Capcom has taken measures to detect cheating AND hacked Wiis (which is none of their business in my opinion) and ban them. I think it's going to be a bit tricky but we will find out. But I also believe that there will be some unwarranted bans which is going to really be unfortunate.

Im sure Capcom has taken into their minds, that people will get decent gear offline before they go online. I mean its way the game is made.

I would hope so. But we won't know until it happens.
