Monster Hunter > Thread - Is this true? (Regarding Online Fees)

Vuze Posts: 36	Hi all, I just read that Chris Kramez (Senior Director of this Community), said some stuff about the online mode over at TGBus. I'll just copy'n'paste my trans-/interpretation: "Chris Kramer, Senior Director of Capcom Community (US), has disclosed that "Monster Hunter 3" will eventually have a FREE online mode in the US and Europe. Reasons for this are that they "found some factors in the short-time investigation" that they need to pay attention to. First, the "Monster Hunter" franchise ain't that popular in the West and that a pay-to-play online mode may keep customers away. Second, the japanese version of the game doesn't use the "Friendscode" feature. This means Capcom would have to move the servers which would be a really expensive step. This may mean that "Monster Hunter 3" will support the good old friendscode system in Europe and the US. Ryozo Tsujimoto, creator of the Monster Hunter series, says: "We are doing two important things: first and foremost we will strengthen the online mode in the US and European version. Second, we are learning from the feedback of the western players. We are trying to create an online mode they really want."" I just wanted to know if somebody could approve that. Please be patient. When we finally nail down all the details, we'll make sure to get that info out to the world. Until then, this is just all rumors and speculation. Hey snow, how about a blog or something like Tatsunoko vs capcom, the MH forum look like a dead field, is been slow since capcom dont reveal nothing more. How about the PSP Go? But yes, friend codes is the worst online system ever to be concieved. Imagine if every telephone in your house had a different number and each one was 16 numbers long. And you could only dial with a vibrating laser pointer.
