ok i know u get them in the volcano area and the tower(cant access yet), on my 1st gathering quest for volcano i ended up with a few ruststones. after about 3 or 4 of the same quest i get nowt, just ores to improve my hammer and sword. if any1 knows of ways to get ruststones easily then please help me out as it would be appreciated
also a question on armour, iv noticed some armour from various ppl have an S or U after them, how do u get tht armour??

Best/easiest way to get rust and/or ancient ruststones is to keep farming Lao Shan. Shoul be NO problem. The only way to get the S and U series armors is by doing all of the Elder's quests, you will eventually up your farm to the point where you get ores for those specific sets. So just keep moving and you'll get everything you need. FYI: I've never played MHF2 specifically, but have gotten far in both MHF and MHFU //.^
i should have known id have to kill a high rank monster to get them easier, suppose i better do elder quests to access Lao Shan.

Lao Shan (Mountain Elder) is not a high rank monster. He is actually really easy and Low Rank. Just charge(double swing) his belly over and over with the onslaught hammer branching off of the War Hammer/Mace tree. If you need any helps just message me. I will help you in any way that I can. And also, DO THE ELDER QUESTS. They start you off and sort of push you out of the nest into gathering hall (freaking hard) quests. So you NEED to get those done if you are an inexperienced player. Which I'm guessing you are //.^ no offense.

to be fair i am inexperienced at the PSP version as i started with Monster Hunter for PS2 (alot of the PSP features arnt on the PS2 Version) but iv done up to the 4* elder quests, not sure if thts gd or bad, but since i cant get online i tend to solo alot of quests so mainly do elder/ treasure hunts as i know guild quests are generally for 2+ ppl although some can be solod
Actually, all of them CAN be soloed, but you need to do the elder quests to get the proper armor and weapons in order to clear them. And if you clear the elder's quests you will recieve a village elder Lao Shan quest, so you don't need to do the gathering hall quests.
