Technically u can already download unite onto a ps3 but u wouldnt have multiplayer. Everybody probably already knows about the PSP Go with that they made some psp games downloadable including MH Freedom Unite but the ps3 has and had the ablility to download psp games

What we mean above is for Capcom to make MHFU -playable- on the PS3

"Sony hasn't put up LBP on the internet yet, just a demo"
"That's like playing the PS3 version without the downloadable content. It still gets the job done, but come on!"
"They hate extra support too!"
"Come on!"
"I know, right?"
... "What's wrong with them?!"

Port to ps3 of mhfu..or older titles..no thx. New game or bust.

Indeed, Yuffie, indeed... With the power of the PS3 people would really like to see a PS3 specific Monster Hunter video game, that takes advantage of most (if not all of) the beneficial aspects of developing a video game on & for the PS3; and not just simple port of a older MH video game to the PS3!

One day Capcom may develop a Monster Hunter for the PS3 crowd, too.

The point of the thread was to see if fans would like to see an online Monster Hunter game for the PS3 while working with a smaller budget.

I know everyone wants a brand new Monster Hunter for the PS3, but can you honestly sit there and say that you wouldn't want to see this either?

Perhaps they could even add in some Frontier monsters, either way it would still be less costly than producing a whole new game (I would think anyways).

Quite honestly, how costly it is for them to produce the game is of no matter to me in the very least.

What matters is the content.  I've paid for MHFU, and by association, the content it contains.  Don't try and charge me again for the same content in a different container.

Of course it's not, because you're not the one who is producing the game. I don't care either to be quite honest but unfortunately it costs money to produce brand new games and alot of it.

If I decided to cancel out the cost I would just say "O HAY MHF0 ON PSN PLZ". Either way the possibility of both games reaching PSN are probably equal but because one is less costly, well I would think one is a bit more likely than the other.

You would pay for an expansion but not for a PSN version of the game that would have a real online town and better Hunter Ranking system as well as the ability to play it with a real controller? =/

No I would not pay money for the ability to see 12 more people running around the guild hall

I like the rank up system in MHFU to be honest.

Its not as much of a grind, it has actual purpose, and while you can easily argue that the guild points ranking has an actual purpose too, I rather enjoy the idea of needing to kill certain monsters rather than just spam the HR1 Hermitaur for about 3 hours to rank up.

To counter the argument about the controller, PSP Go anyone?  You know I don't have it but its the idea that if I did, then this entire concept would have no reason to exist.

If Espinas, Akura Vashimu and Bery are added along with the new zones where they are situated with an increased HR cap, sure, but otherwise, no thanks plox.

Actually you still have to clear 'key quests' in order to unlock your urgent to HR up at a certain level, it's not just about earn enough HRPs throughout the enitre online. You won't get your urgent until you're at a certain HR and you have cleared all the required key quests.

I believe by implementing this system it extends the games playtime, and it MAY seem like it's lacking a purpose but many others such as myself prefer our games to last as long as possible. Just because you want to HR up doesn't mean you should spam the quest that gives the highest amount of HRPs and bore yourself from what you have.

It's convenient to people who don't care yes, but the thing is we would be able to choose the control setup and I'm more than sure you're fine and dandy with your PSP controls but there are quite alot of people who preferred the original PS2 scheme.

Not only that but the PSP control scheme would be exactly like Tri's and allow you to control the camera with the right analog stick instead of having to re-position your fingers awkwardly on a PS3 controller when using the PSPGo.

New content would definitely be possible, real DLC becomes a possibility when programming isn't limited to a UMD.

And the HR cap would definitely be raised, it would be similar to the way MH or MHG was. How about 99?
