For those wondering, yes, it is real. For your second question, no, there are no plans to bring it to the West for now. -- Snow

Poor natureboy
Why? I'm really happy about this news. Hopefully it will make it to NA. I'm happy for the brand, I'm happy for the fans that wanted it, and I'm happy it's not MHP4. From what I've read it's Tri G. Tri G has little draw to me, because it is more of the same, an expansion. This news has strengthened my belief that the true sequel to MHP3 is going Vita. So this really is great news all around. NA fans might want to get their petitions ready though because I think theres a fair chance this game will never be localized. MHP3 still hasn't been localized, and it is WAY easier to localize that game than this due to the extra hardware required.

The only drama here is yours, stop posting off-topic please, you going derail the thread.
I stand by what I said, I've never mentioned anything about first-party games, those are Nintendo games and they do as they want. Here we are talking about a big and exclusiv third-party game, probably part of a deal.
Of course we can't be 100% sure, but if some of you expect the game to not be released in the west, I think it's okay for other people to expect the opposite. I've already explained the reasons why.
Time will tell us.
SCAN TIME!
Target Camera ON/OFF - Amazing addition, wow. Hunter Search (???) / Icon (???) - Interesting. Map - Digital D-Pad - Camera? Shortcut? Item Bag - Target Camera ON/OFF - Great to have an item touch-screen menu!

please tell me you didn't just say that this has lock on... this should be... interesting... *I put on my robe and wizard hat* *conjures popcorn* *casts flame ward* (didn't capcom say they'd never add lock on because it wouldn't fit with the spirit of the game?)

those pictures are quite impressive very close to TRI's graphics, i'd love to see the game in fully fledged 3d i really loved the effect in zelda oot IMO lock on won't be too bad since the function can be toggled, plus the combat in MH dynamic hunting really grew on me

I wonder how all those haters feel right now comenting that Mh3ds will never happen...
MH3DS didn't happen. can you not read??? its triG. and if you payed attention, no one cared if 3DS got a game or not, it was a matter of opinion as to if the game would would work on it or not. nintendo found a way to get around it and make more money off you guys in the process. this attachment means the price drop was pointless.
I'm pretty sure I never dismissed the second analog rumor, I'd love to have a dual analog redesign, if that means more games, so be it!
Actually, you did bash it down, just like chump said.
This game will mark the first time capcom has taken a step backwards with MH though, espically whne the time spent on this would have been much better spent on a whole new game rather then this expansion(i'm sure alot of people will agree). This game still does not hold to the 'ALL' statement, so i'm still waiting on that one to finally be revealed.
and i'm also VERY curious about that cover shot. Why does it say "playstation Vita" above the TriG spread?
Of course MH3DS happened, we never mentioned "MH3DS" as "we want a game titled Monster Hunter 3DS", lol. You must remember I always said I'd love to play MH3G on 3DS, and now I'm very happy we are getting exactly what I said. \o/
And it would be the same thing as saying "MH Vita never happened" if Vita gets a new Monster Hunter and it's not named "Vita". And could you please link me to the post where I bash the dual analog rumor down? I doubt I did that. :] As I said, I did make a post saying I don't believe in a redesign announcemente now, but to be released only in 2012. And I don't know why you are saying Capcom is taking its first steps backwards. Right now Tri is considered the best Monster Hunter game overall and 3G is the final expansion of that work, under the same technology. If Capcom took any step backward in terms of quality, that would be Portable 3rd returning to the claw and Portable 3rd HD with bugs and bad UI, both came out after Tri. And 3G seems to be the exact definition of "all", it's also the "next Monster Hunter" he mentioned in the same interview. Now we the best content from all Monster Hunter games in one game. It says they have scoop on new Vita games, nothing related to MH3G, that's a 3DS exclusive, check the other scans.

I'm not surprised to hear that there's a target lock-on for a 3DS version of Monster Hunter. That is basically something that is needed to a degree with the way the 3D works on the system. If not for a target lock, one would be inclined to tilt their head a bit out of unconcious desire to look around, which would bring the 3D in and out. Not that it's impossible to handle camera control on the 3DS, I'm just stating my observations from owning the system. I just hope that Capcom doesn't use the tilt controls too much... Those controls really aren't compatible with the 3D threshold point. And I do hope that the "for now" eventually becomes a "maybe". And finally, welcome back, Snow.
