First point (Good): Yepieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, Great, Marvelous GOD CAPCOM thank you!!!!! Second point (Bad): I hope this game works like Metal gear OPS +, i Third point (Question): Seeing the Releasse date, I can deduce that MH2G isn´t going to land in US, so i believe the MHU is going to be a expansion of MHF2????
Unless you buy 12 million copies of Tatsunoko Vs Capcom, and do a write-in campaign for Batsu....
RIVALS SCHOOL NEED YOU!!!!!!!!! Buy a copy of TVS, the kids from rival school will thank you forever. |

This is FANTASTIC!! After playing MHF and MHF2 online with XLink Kai, I told my friends "You know, Sony would be wise to use the PS3 and the PSN in this 'tunneling' fashion. It would make games like Monster Hunter online so much more stable and AWESOME!". Then I heard about the Unite survey that went out and thought "BRILLIANT!!" Now it's officially announced with PSN functionality and I'm SUPER FLIPPIN' STOKED!! I'll even admit that I saw some MHTri shots and video and I'm surprised at how good looking it is on the Wii (a system I despise). I still want a PS3 title, but MHFU (lol... I just said "FU") is going to be AMAZING!! I know you're waiting on the go-ahead from the bigwigs to release more info, but can you tell us for which countries/regions this title has been announced for? Also, is this MHP2ndG for regions outside Japan, is this an expansion on MHP2ndG (an expansion of an expansion), or is it a totally new game in the series (like MHF2 was to MHF)?
Thank you for bringing us such GREAT news!! |

Question, can you still get online without a PS3. Can you still play online using the PSP's wifi capabilities? If so I will most likely go out and buy a PSP just for MH. I never tried MHF or MHF2 but I will most likely get a job by the time they announce the release date for MHU and be able to afford the handheld and the game and the wifi adapter. |

Mhf,mhf2 online is downlaod only. Adhoc gives you a 50ft range with other psp user's. --------------- "Why in the h*ll you want a portable online game" if you need another console to play :P. As for online mode, have you played half other servers on psp online games? they suck. and most are just text room's. Most of us use are Pc anyway? Mh relays on a Room were you play in, and have constant connection between players..it would drain battery so fast...that being portable. its bad enough adhoc gives you 2 hours with 4 people. I don't see it getting a true online till batterys get better. And whats wrong with Ps3 network path? We berg and asked for simple version of kai or there own version. AND BOOM! they hook us up with a method thats mostly free to them. Granted i don't have 600bucks just yet to drop on that expensive of a router. Also, cause everyone keeps blaming capcom for it, the Psp thru Ps3 has been in the plans for Sony for a long time. 2g was first stated to use it. (I believe it was Sony)

Hey Yuffie. You know, I don't think the whole infrastructure thing has anything to do with battery life. Playing adhoc and infrastructure both use the wi-fi connection of the PSP and all it does is send and recieve data. The problem is that for every game with infrastructure out there, some game publisher needs to host a server for that title. The strength and beauty of using the PS3 for the infrastructure network is that the servers are there and ready to go. All the PSN really does (to put it simply) is host a virtual room for people to meet up in (much like XLink Kai does). True, PS3 titles have servers for their massive population of online players (like Burnout and Resistance, CoD4 and MGS4). But the PSN network just basically routes these playing systems out to their respective game's servers. The PSP will most likely not be as complex in terms of using the PSN. Much like Kai, I imagine (but I admit that I don't know) that the PSN will host several rooms for different PSP titles and then players meet up and play as we have been doing Long story short, batteries have nothing to do with it, really. It's the programming and the hosting that's been the problem. But adding this interoperability feature to the PSP and PS3 will make online play so much more accessible and common in PSP games. I LOVE it!! And I can't wait to check out MHFU. |

More data sent, more work psp is doing.
I can play solo offline for 4-6 even 7 hours. In adhoc mode only 2-3 hours. It makes a big differnce on agme to. Mutant league football last almost 4 hours in online room. Road rash about the same.
