I'll take their word on it. There was an online Mobile Suit Gundam for the DS a few years back that had a launch date here in the U.S., along with official videos and such, but it was scrapped before launch. Hearing a date wont make me feel any safer about it.

But it will give me time to save for it! lol

Ok, I dont think everyone thats complaining about the PS3 required adhoc to online mode understand what it really is and why Unite isnt just infrastructure. What Sony seemingly is doing is making games, thats right plural, that are ad-hoc only available to play online through the structure of the PS3 as your hub. Which means this isnt some gimmick they created ONLY for Unite/MHP2G as a cop-out to making a true infrastructure mode. How could you expect them to release Unite in the states,an already iffy MH area fro them as far as the fanbase is concerned and make it infrastructure thus backstabbing in a way their main moneymakers, the fans back at home. They would have to then release a new vbersion of MHP2G for japanese gamers so they could have online mode too or atleast have to deal withthe flood of complaints of how we got it and they didnt. And thats besides the actual work it takes to create the mode for the game and the actual structure to ensure it runs properly and smoothly for all. So why not think a little past your immediate distaste and see a litte further into what it all means before flaming the man for their decision.

Yeah, I understand that this is the way it has to be, and I'm fine with it. It seems like a great way of doing things. However, I'm not quite ready to shell out money for a PS3.

I'm with ya'll on your side of things too though, i understand it sucks if you dont have a PS3 and yeah theres no way I'd shell out the money for one just to play my PSP ad-hoc games online. But hopefully either A.) this will generate decent enough sales for capcom to warrant a release of M3 or B.) we dont have to count on sales and they inted to release three as well as Unite for us. I'm more syched about three than this thats for sure and I have to admit it's likely i wouldnt play the PSP version much anymore if we did get three seeing that the extent of time that MH takes up and the amount of work you put into your game handling two would be a hassle especially if ones way better than the other.
