"Weather conditions, its time to have hard wet races not just dry races with rain effects, the grip in wet tracks arent the same!" No, No way... MotoGP 07 (Namco); On SIM. mode has this feature, and it is awful, the only thing you can do is sliding and slipping and can't keep the damn bike on the track., forget it. as a visual effect: YES I like this one:...
(if disqualification occurred will add penalty points to your position rank on the leader board) Anti-Cheat example: ...
This mathematical equations will be done by the server, so it won't be need no host or no one to do it, such as reset or keep a watch eye for it, etc... The more you cheat the more deep down to the bottom rank you go. Alike the real FIM rules if the rider commit a violation of the rules he will get fine from $5,000 - $200,000 and a lot more severe actions. The next MotoGP game should bring with a second disk in the package instead of a book whereas will train the player on only one racing track the FIM ROAD RACING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP GRAND PRIX REGULATIONS, the significance of colour of flags, the meaning of the colours and other types of rules,.. etc; And also provide a section link on disk to access real time MotoGP News, Standings, and more such as real Riding Tips, Video clips of the very best passes, Video clips interviews from real MotoGP rider(s) giving an insight of their riding style and racing experiences... etc. I mean is an endless promotions Capcom can make to get fans and new comers interested. please, don't come up with a paid VOD membership, it will kill the idea.
MotoGP is the world’s premier motorcycling championship,... What about the game?

Why not visual? Allmost 100% of modern racing games have visual damage and it's not like it's hard to do. If everyhing else is close to reality it's kind of lame if the bike and rider come out without a scracth after a big spill. I think it's one of those things that you don't pay much attention to until it's missing ( especially after playing other racing games.) |

FRA Inregards to the weather, yeah I'm going to disagree with you here. because if you have the right tires and setup you can lean over just as far in the wet as in the dry. I've done it. Look at the next wet MotoGP race and you see them doing it. As I said and you seem to agree the main difference is about being smoother Rockgod I guess what you are trying to accomplish by online test & tune. what is the gain from doing this online as opposed to offline. In MotoGP terms that would be like doing dev test during the weekend of a race. I don't agree that the game is hard to mold to anyone style, the problem is not giving people the options to configure the game to your liking. From there it's people trying to dictate how others play the game. for example I've seen lobbys where the host dictated the view perspective. Why does it matter to you what view a person plays with? |

oh an incase my point was lost in all my words, Rockgod I'm with about being able to tune bikes in detail and not some simple slider that says hard/soft or stable/fast. IMHO games have gotten prettier but the actual gameplay has been stagnate or gotten worse. MotoGP 08 & SBK'08 both felt right from a physics stand point to me, but the lack of game options and features (aside from the dumb AI) is what let them down. There is no excuse for this. As is there is no excuse for bad AI |

gmontalc it's funny most of the features you mentioned were in the EA Sports Superbike games!!!!! Why they were removed is beyond me. the full crash feature was halarious. watching your rider run back to his bike and pick it up!!!! I mentioned this before and glad you brought it up, I don't need it but why can't there be a real tutorial that actually teaches players what and why they are supposed to do certain things? How cool would it be to have real world lap record runs imported into the game and narrated by the rider that did it? we can only dream I guess |

Why not visual? Allmost 100% of modern racing games have visual damage and it's not like it's hard to do. First of all you have to understand the point of what we as fans want, right? We want realistics in all aspects such as graphics, handling, including the modeling of the bikes, colours, the advertisements logos from sponsors... wait, wait right there, Uhmm?, if the bike gets damages on their logos for sure the "SPONSOR" who's perhaps is also putting some money for the development of the game won't like to see its logos ads erased. You follow? Keep in mind everything you see in the game is pure advertisements that equals big $$$

They would be all for it and hopefully be the ones that have the most damage since it draws attention to it and people will remember and be reminded of those sponsors stickers that keep getting damage. Just having it sit there and look pretty doesn't really do much for people and their short memory in a racing game where their attention is focused elsewhere than a sticker. |

I really like the idea of being able to mod the game someone posted earlier. This is the main reason why Half-Life 2 is one of the best games ever. It allows modders to create new features, test them out, see what works and what doesn't. Also it gets everyone off the forums and actually doing something to make the game better. |

Dude I never put SBK 99/2000/2001 down! everytime I've rebuilt my PC or gotten a new one those are the first apps I install (along with GP500). Honestly if someone would do a straight port of those games to the PS3 or 360 I'd take them over any bike game that has been released in the past 8 years. Yeah commentary would be a nice addition. It doesn't have to be corny smart comments either. Something as simple as a voice coming on and giving updates about passes, crashes, or whatever. No it's not realistic from a riders point of view. BUt from a gamers view. The SBK games use to have Keith & Julian, and Lee Diffy who I thought was one of the best commentators around. |
