This will be another weak attempt at MOTOGP the game.  What a friggin joke man.  I mean the handling is going to be so stupid.  These guys are making the same mistakes that the old companies made.  It is so amazing how no one seems to listen yet they always ask for the suggestions to make a new game.  Steve the question needs to be asked are you guys trying to really kill the series.  Are you folks just trying to make a joke out of this with all the information you ask from us?  I don't think you guys get it or really care with this current crop of answers at all.  I mean really.  ALL the bikes handle pretty much the same except for traits attributed to the lower displacements and weights of the bike.  I don't understand why we can't have a SIM slider that gives you the ability like GP2 to dial it up or down for a multitude of things specific to a SIM style.   THe problem with arcade style is very easy to see.  Go look at how many people play GP08 and SBK 08.  ALmost noone plays cause it is the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.  BORING!!!!  No depth no nothing.  Now you are just doing much of the same just repackaged as something else.  We are not impressed with anything said.  We do hope you are vague only to reveal later on that you guys listen to us since we are the ones who play this game all the time.  We are the ones who help newbies and keep them on by giving them tips to not be so discouraged when we are out 15 seconds ahead by the end of the race.  We want what we want and still you guys think you know better than we do.  We news bud but you guys don't know jack.  You have asked us for what we want and this has gone on for years.  The few people that post here try and really do want to see a good comprehensive game.  You have failed before you started because someone on your team who is a decision maker is making bad ones and believes they know better than the consumer.  You guys amaze me with all this we care and want to please us attitude when all we get back are answers that only confuse us and alianate those who keep this series alive by lying to our friends that it is decent just so we have folks to race.  If you make a game that we want it will sell.  WHat do you guys care at the end of the day if the game is successful by at least meeting your sales numbers or perhaps even beating them?  I don't get it.  I really don't and it blows my mind how unreceptive all of the companies are when they ask for us to give up the info on how to make the blockbuster.  Some day a smart company will take a look at XBLA and see all the info there for the past few years and realize no one to date has listened and should.  When that happens mark my words it will some day.  That game will be a resounding success.  I still am optimistic but very little anymore.

Superbike 2001 was one of the most successful motorcycle games ever made and it just so happens to be one of the most realistic and feature rich. I don't understand why developers are going in the opposite direction...

Good I am glad for you.  I wasn't speaking for you.  I was speaking for my group of friends who just don't  post.  I am happy you have such a healthy ego.

That has been a huge point.  Every game thus far seems to be a degredation instead of an improvement despite the hype the company propagandises.

Not a healthy EGO, just your average joe who enjoys an exciting game, that's why I play 'em (or not in the case of SBK)

"Will the game have mandatory weather options? Will you be able to select the weather option in ALL modes?"

We say: The arcade and career modes will both have set weather conditions that reflect those seen in the corresponding GP season. Practice / Multiplayer will have custom weather options."

Big mistake, single - offline player weather conditions must be optional (ON/OFF and Random). I doubt that many MotoGP fans have enjoyed so many wet races as seen in season 2009.

Will we see also same race results as seen in the 2009 season?.

Replay options: Will replays be able to be saved and shared. Additionally will they have an option to display data (lap times, split times, telemetry, settings, etc?

We say: You cannot save or share replay data in this version. There are memory restrictions on ‘game clips’ for both the PS3 and X-Box leaderboards and they are being used up by ghost data.

Then how can I compare how good or bad I did on previous race(s) with the next round season on the same track?. (Engineers / Mechanics use these methods in real bike setups)

Sim and Arcade modes: There are fans of both modes so will the game include both modes, but clearly different in order to please both kinds of fans?

We say: The ‘sim’ level will relate to the chosen class. The 800cc giving a more realistic and difficult experience. Our ethos is that we want three distinctive fun handling models for the 125cc, 250cc and 800cc bikes. We want each model to be fun, but they will all come from the “same world”. The 800cc bikes will be closer to simulation experience than say the ‘twitchier’ 125’s. Our opinion is when the community is divided over which bike class is the best, we’ll know we’ve done our jobs right. What we don’t want to happen is 125’s and 250’s disappear in obscurity once players have got their hands on 800cc bikes! We will offer some announcements relating to game modes further down the line.

If you guys don't want the fun handling models for the 125cc, 250cc bikes disappear in obscurity and also goes for the 800cc, then all realistic and difficult experience must be the same,  the difference must be focus on the AI strength of each category.

I do not agree with the difficult part...

  • Realistic: YES.
  • Difficult:   NO. = "I want to have enjoyment, not to be upset and disappointed"

... If you don't like to be defeated constantly by the AI, then the game must have an available option(s) to make the player competitive. Otherwise player will very easy 'always' win or lose the races.

What kind or where is the fun to race by yourself, whereas the opposition is behind or on front of you a mile away?

...Our opinion is when the community is divided over which bike class is the best, we’ll know we’ve done our jobs right

MotoGP fans are not discussing which bike class best is, the fundamental of this prolonged debate is the ability to play a decent game resemble to a real MotoGP Racing Sport, still remains to be seen a group of game developers that could do a right Motorcycling racing game.

"If the wheel is round, don't make it square"

MotoGP is the world’s premier motorcycling championship,... What about the game?

I find this to be an interesting way to weed through opinions and how the game shall speak for itself online after the fact.

I myself know that the 125cc & 250cc classes will appeal to me more if the physics are that of a 2 stroke as they where on Gp1, v2 and v4s...

If the 800's are on par to the currant 4 stroke trend, then we shall see which bikes are more fun to ride.

I'd say 2 stroke all the way!

I do feel Climax did a nice job of emulating how a 4 stroke feels oppose to a 2 stroke and personally I believe this is what turns me off about Gp3 and on, that they are all 4 strokes and IMO 4 stroke tech on Racing machines is beat!

I keep forgetting that MGP08 has  125's and 250's, most likely because the online has no scoreboards for Ps3 and no chat, except for in lobby, BEAT!

Quite honestly, I can't wait to see what Monumental ends up with, cause if they are infact the Gp1 team? then the 125/250 are going to be the best treat EVER!

If you really think about it, on Gp2 after the patch, where there was no draft and the RC became a rocketship retaining a top speed of draft without draft, the NSR 500cc (2stroke) was a buzzing hornet that could easily eat up a 4 stroke in the hands of a great rider. But it took massive skill and momentum to beat the RC 990 4 strokes constant pulling and bulk tork and ease of riding around at speed.. After Gp2, it was all 4's, :(   to bad!

Infact that pretty much sums up my main gripe about handling.. I prefer 2 strokes.

PS, now that I'm on this train of thought, come to think of it, I remember there being a glitch on Gp3 where you could use an Extreme bike on Sheridan and set times to the scoreboards... I thought it was great and loved the way the extreme bike handled except for the fact that it was an extreme bike on a test track, :(....

As Monumental declared that is a "new" gameplay.
