This is what your game plays like. If I wanted this I'd look for a water skiing game This is how a motorcycle steers/pivots (and no that's not me). What is so hard to understand? One is a motorcycle the other isn't. If you can't do or understand that pay Walken some money and call the game Mini-RC GP 09/10: The True Arcade Fantasy experience. As gog stated I actually thought the inside the helmet view from the starting grid had potential but we won't know will we. What is the point of putting out clips like this that cause more frustration and confusion instead of excitement? they seem to be aimed at people who don't care about the game and won't care about the game unless it's the "in game" to have. But you continue to ignore and alienate the people (at least to me) who would make it the "in game" to have. No fancy editing just simple in game footage. And by in game I don't mean replay footage but one of someone actually playing the game uncut. If you are as proud of it as you say you are that shouldn't be a problem. But it's obvious you don't want people to know the truth and that's simply that you are continuing along the Climax arcade line of fake motorcycle games. Nothing wrong with just be open and honest about it. You are after the masses and the money. So stop pretending to give a damn about making any type of real bike game. Step up and admit and I won't say another damn thing about this game. As long as you guys keep talking about how authentic and real this game is I'm going to call BS because that's what it is |

Ronin can you post some Jet ski videos I think that would be more applicable since you kind of sit on it like a bike...LOL |

This must be rossi cause it's yellow I hope they would add impressive wave phyics to MotoGP 09/10 like the ones in Wave Race 64 If Walken won't sell you the trade mark, maybe you could call the game Splash Down GP 09/10: The real motorcycle fantasy experience |

that tourist Trophy drift vid is insane! look how naturally the bikes slide and come back into line! Don't think that is being done by some silly drift or slide button either. Those players are able to do that because the game controls well enough to allow a good player to do that. If don't wrong you will crash. Not like the MotoGP 09/10 vid were Rossi locks up the rear goes almost 90 degress sideways and then just straightens out. Backwards isn't the word that this game is going. To think a 4 year old tech demo from a 10 year old "over the hill" system still does things that you guys claim can't be done on the latest and greatest systems. Pathetic. simply pathetic. Worse is that you guys seem so excited by your work. "yeah we've got this cool time bonus thing that is so revolutionary and it's going to change the way people see racing games.....It's just going to make our game a mass marker item...." lol but I guess no one told you guys time bonuses are nothing new....they've been around since well the being of games. Why not save dev cost and just port this over with MotoGP branding...... it's pretty much the same experince, but sorry I'd have to give the nod to this in the realism department. honestly I'd have more fun with this because they aren't pretending to be something they aren't Sorry tired of being constructive when it's obvious that you guys don't listen or care. Actually now that I think about it, don't change anything about your game. Please keep advertising it as authentic, so that I can go out and try to ride like what's in your game and when I crash, if I survive I can sue you and Capcom for the funds I'd need to make a real true bike game. So please keep up the great work |

I'm throwing in the towel regarding this game and this board. There is just no point. As Ronin said we are going more backwards than forwards and the much hyped communication with the community just isn't working. Either we can't explain ourselves right or Monumental isn't willing to listen. Either way this thing thats going on now is proving to be too much aggravation and frustration for me. Straight answers to questions posted are few and far between and the ridculous dance around issues like mappable controllers, livery editors (only to name a few) goes on and on. I'll be spending my time doing something a bit more productive and I'll just have to wait and see what we end up with when the game comes out. Talk to you after the release.

I don't know, I thinked it looked pretty promising. I think the riders look pretty good on the bike, I like how they hang off a bit more. The shots they showed of helmet view look great! Hopefully that is an actual view and not like a pre race cut scene. Also nice to see that there is a bit more presentation this time. Sure its just frill but in 08 you just magically were on the track. Its cool that they have all the technicians out there and the umbrella girls. Hey say what you want about me but I think presentation goes along way. Helps the atmosphere. I thought the physics looked OK, I'm sure they will have a camera with the tarmac pivot they have been talking about that for a few months now. I said the riders looked good on the bike, but since the first footage came out I thought the riders looked funny when just riding straight. Something about their body position and how there feet look, I can't put my finger on it. I think the riders looked better on the straights in 08. If they could combine the two have the riders look like they do on the straights in 08 and the hang off of the new game that would be cool. Still watching again I can't figure out what I don't like about the legs and feet of the riders on these clips. Not a real rider (yet) so I wouldn't really know. Crashes look better, graphics look better, helmet view looks great, I don't know if you guys noticed but on the right hand side of the screen there is a bike icon with green tires. I assume that this is the tire wear indicator so that is definitely a welcome addition. I always used hard rear tires in my career modes of 08, so it would be great if they were an actual advantage. Newbs just couldn't hop on a default (qualifying soft tires) and fly around the track with total disregard. I could start off slower, get some heat to the tires and make em look silly. The quick left to rights look good too. Not flip floppy. The other thing i like is that the game looks fast without blur. Way faster than 08 so that is reassuring also. It would be great if they could keep the fast appearance yet keep lap times close to the real thing. I think its a bit early to call this game a failure (we've seen a few early vids and NONE OF US HAVE ACTUALLY PLAYED IT) so lets not circle the wagons just yet guys. Its early, they're still working on it, if we're going to criticize lets atleast still be constructive about it. |

woops, just noticed something else. Yuki Takahashi is still in the game, that probably isn't necessary anymore... |

Have to agree with you Juho. I haven't been around in a while for that very reason and only out of sheer bordom did I check it out today. only to find the same old crap. Each time, each post and response (or lack there of) I only get more frustrated. sorry Andrew, I agree that presentation matters but the foundation matters more to me and the clips show me the game is sticking to it's climax roots which I hated. tourist trophy had flaws but was solid enough that all the other stuff compensated. MotoGP08/SBK08 had very poor presnetation, yet again were solid enough to keep me playing. Not one Climax based MotoGP game has held my interest at all. Not one. As it's clear that is the basis of MotoGP 09/10, why should I expect any difference? That pit stuff is nice I guess, but if it adds load times then it's something I can and would gladly do without especially if I can't turn it off. That is the very reason why I don't play the NFL and NBA games anymore, because I can't bypass all the fluff and just play the freakin game. I'll gladly take last gen graphics and whatever for a solid foundation which this game doesn't have. But then again at this point I shouldn't have to, especially since Tourist Trophy showed what can be done with talented and creative devs. Apparently it's to much to ask of Monumental for a bike game that actually plays like a bike. Being constructive doesn't help because it's obvious they don't care what we have to say and are mainly concerned with doing whatever they think it will take to make the game a mass market item even if that means making it not play like a bike game. It's funny how they give you options for stuff that they shouldn't, like this pivot issue (if you want a jet ski game go get one), but not on things that they should (weather, mappable controlers), etc.... so going by what they've said (and what they won't say) and what they continue to show, yeah I've given up on this game. Yeah I'll buy it but it won't get played beyond the first time I got into a corner and the bikes slide around like a jet ski. so yeah I give up with it and not going to waste my time here anymore. that's the path I'm going back to. As Juho said, I'm not going to concern myself with this POS until after it hits the store because I just get frustrated by everything said here. As much as I want a new high standard next gen bike game, I'm tired of wasting my engnery with this when there are other games around that provide better value and I still have SBK 2k/2k1, GP500 and Touristy Trophy to get what I'm looking for. |

well maybe this pic of screen grabs from the video in a one second time frame that ive done will help explain to steve and anyone else that cant understand that it is in fact so unreal physics/handling wise as i tried to explain in the podcast ages ago,.... how can the rear wheel and tyre go from its position in the top of the pic to bottom of pic position wise in under a second if the bike is pivoting and leaning from the centre of the tyre on the tarmac? well it obviously isnt as you can see the bike is pivoting from the middleof the rider and flipping left and right, and that is just plain unrealistic.
