Why is it that.......

every actual game play vid for MotoGP 09/10 show cases players who have no skill at racing/bike  games?  What is the logic of putting together a clip using people who can't play?   How hard can it be to find a player to put in a few decent laps for you guys to use in your clips?   For me it doesn't build confidence in your game when in your whole company there doesn't appear one person who is capable of putting in a decent lap.  Or no one in your company is capable of finding a person capable of putting in a decent lap for you.

If that is the case as it appears to be, then how am I the consumer that you are targetting supposed to believe that you have the slightest clue of what it is I want from a MotoGP game and how to give it to me?   Talk is cheap.  As has been pointed out, it's more then frutrating that at this point over 3 months later the same topics and questions are being asked when a simple answer could have long been delivered.   There is an excuse for every clip that has surfaced, " old build", "not a good player", "oh there was a bug I meant to fix", "we are so busy".    It would be better to not say or put out anything at all then to continue along the route that you are currently going.  Because I for one don't buy into any of the excuses.   Sorry to be rude but I'm frustrated and pissed off at this point of all the BS.

In all of the UK you mean you can't find on person to come in who is capable of riding a decent race line so that you can video him playing?  If you don't have the resources to do that how the hell can you expect me to believe you have the resources to make a decent game?  Talk is cheap and pics(vids) speak volumes.  We've been asking about sim mode for months yet all you want to talk about is arcade.   Questions about online.... and again nothing?   What do you think you're going to reinvent the wheel and do something so groundbreaking that you need this much secrecacy to protect it?  I find that highly doubtful given the difficulties you appear to be having getting a decent player in for you to make your promo vids off of.     Correct me if I'm wrong but I do recall you mentioning how exciting some of the races that you guys have had were........well why can't we see some of them then?  I mean vid capturing, authoring  and posting has come a long way now and even 10yr olds are making vids for Youtube and Facebook.

If can't release a clip that represents all the hype that you guys are throwing out about your game then you'd really be better off not putting anything out at all.   Kind of like those moives that get released without any fanfare to try and get some quick profits in before the negative reviews come out and exposes it what it truly is.  Because as far as I can tell the only positive press so far has been from your own Press releases

doesnt matter if the player's good or not...we dont need Valentino rossi for realising if the physic is good or not...even though the best word rider makes a lap, that fu****g middle bike pivot will ruin the game in any way...

and still dont get why mnumental is so ostinated wiv this middle pivot...they r riuning the game wiv their own hands,,, that 's all

I'm kicking myself for returning here...Undecided

You are so right Ronin. Also we keep getting request to send questions about the game only to receive answers that really aren't worth ****.

Another thing, what with the stalling tactics?

It takes weeks for the "team" to answer simple questions already "compiled" for their convenience?

The  excuse for taking forever to answer questions or post videos is that "the game development takes priority" but as the recent videos show I don't see much development done AND all the request as far as "what would you, like to see in the next videos" went down the toilet.

I don't know how the pros do it and whats involved, but it seems nearly impossible to spend several months producing videos like the two most recent ones. My god, if it's that time consuming it must have taken the Forza 3 / MW2 / "insert popular game with quality trailers here" team years just to make their videos...

If the technology is proving that time consuming, is suggest resorting to a pen and paper and mail the notes to one of us and we'll get the answers posted quicker.

As for the legendary pod casts and the LONG awaited sequel... here's what you do Steve-O:

1. Print out the already "compiled" list of questions

2. Pick up your laptop (and webcam, if it's not built in)

3. walk up to Laurel and Hardy's office

4. sit them down for 15 minutes (use cookies and/or slapping as incentive if needed)

5. press "record"

6. ask questions from printed paper ( see #1 )

7. post result on Youtube

Assuming that there is paper in the printer and the office isn't too big, it should be done in 30 minutes.

Oh and, no bull crap about editing, compiling, collating and what have you. No one is buying.

Oooh.... Man, that felt good.

Very true Ronin,... I have been pleading about this for long time and I'm getting from my request a very cold shoulder, then they came up with the "two new videos", and that was when the bomb exploded, it's crazy so much secrecy and taboos for this game.

Has anyone seeing the video trailer for "Gran Turismo 5" ?, that's what I'd call it a video trailer. is on YouTube, impressive as hell. not the one we got for MotoGP 09/10.
MotoGP is the world’s premier motorcycling championship,... What about the game?

MaTriX-ITA- I wasn't saying you need a Rossi or even the fastest video game racer in the world.  BUt basically someone who knows how to race on a proper line, so that there will be no excuses as to why the physics of the game look bad.   There are numerous racing games that I have to play so far from real race lines or techniques simply to go fast because thats what the game requires.   So when we see a MGP 09/10 vid like we've seen and we look at the rider way off the line we don't have to ask ourselves.......Does this guy suck? Or is that the only way to go fast in the game?   Does that make sense?   I hate SBK'09 because the braking is horribly wrong in that you have to trail brake with the rear brake for in corner line adjustments otherwise you run wide if you use the front.   That is just a$$ backwards.   So yeah I can adjust to this and get a fast smooth lap, but if you looked at my replay and watched my braking you'd think I was an idiot.   But that is what the game requires. LOL

One thing I don't understand (and yeah I'm bastardizing my own thread) are your Namco and center pivot comments.  What exactly do you mean by center pivot?  Bikes pivot off of the center of the tire.   To me the biggest issue with the Namco handling is the bikes have no weight and flop over far too quickly.  And then when they flop onto their side the bikes slid a bit when they should be gripping.   But even in it's most exaggerated arcade manners this too me was far more acceptable then the Climax games were the pivot was the top of the rider's helmet and the bike acted like it was the bottom part of a pendalum.

Juho  Yeah I keep telling myself I won't waste my time here anymore either and I was good for a while, but this is a good place to blown off steam when you're having a bad day!!!!  lol   Because it's obviously not good for getting our point of view across about a bike game based on reality

The brakes on just about every GP or SBK game I have ever played SUCKED.  It is unreal how you can't adjust brake pressure.  I mean really?  I am sick of the crap answers like this game is being waited on by every gamer in the world.  They act like this is Halo or something.  I think they need to understand if they ever want anyone to play thing again they had better generate excitement yesterday and fast.  There is a community out there for it but no one is buying until the word is out.  These guys think they are smart or something by not telling us about features that really should be basic stuff!

Well stated Rockgod.. Without the real fans there is no game i mean nobody at gamestop has approached me about preordering  Gp9/10  hell i'm lucky if they get 2 copeis. I think that once a developer realizes that it's really a very small circle they will finally make a good game and then  maybe word of mouth will give it legs but trying to cater to some non existant larger audience is a waste of time and resources, but until someone wakes u here we all arep

The brakes are not as bad as you say.  I agree that they are not perfect but this is what I experienced with SBK09.

First off,  tire wear.    When I see the "simulation" allowing big, long rubber lines laid down, by the rear tire, in a flowing corner that, in reality,  would not see an application of rear brake at all,  I just snicker to myself.  That is silly to be doing this.  Can you imagine locking a real rear wheel tire like that @ speed?   Well, people do it in the sim in order to stay with the fastest riders.   They are doing it because there is not enough punishment for doing it and therefore, it's worth it because noone want to follow rules that everyone else is ignoring.  It would be suicide for a real rider to lock a tire up @ 200kph.  You might get away with but you couldn't continue to race at top performance.  We all know the front brake is the main means of slowing and stopping.

We all know that throttle can steer the bike more than it does in SBK.  Still,  it's close.  Closer than any other except SBK 08. Hands freaking down.

The tire wear/reaction in SBK is not strict enough in SBK.  The tire should be damaged if locked up, not just work away after that kind of abuse..  It should not be an option to lock up rear but it is!!! bawhaaa!  However,  if you ride arcade style in a 10 lap race,  you will have no tires left by the third lap... thats good!   Those who race with the tires in mind have 7 laps to catch the guy who wore out his tires getting the lead by riding arcade style... it works pretty good.  Dont believe me?  Then try with us.  Lets see you wear out your back tire and defend 7 laps against someone who is careful/mindful.

The times are a lot more realistic too.  Not like MotoGP 08 being 7 seconds faster than real life.

I definitely accept that SBK is far from perfect but, speaking as a guy with a lot of seat time.. it's the closest to date.  It runs smoothly online and it makes for tight racing...

Why 90% of people do it chase view(IMHO) is because the damn horizon is crooked and the rider's (ultra dynamic)view is really a camera's(fixed) view...arrrgh.

If you guys are challenging each other,  lets see what you got using the closest motorcycle simming we have.....  Try to concentrate with JimJee or Rafnix on your rear wheel the whole time.. lol

I'm really happy to see we'll finally have tire wear in a MotoGP game. What I'd also like to see is heat! you should be able to ride better 3 or 4 laps in than you did in the first lap.
