I wanted to confirm this now before release!

As I follow everything here and else where I often wonder why PS3 is so void in the picture? Every screen/video etc is on Xbox360?

Ronin even pointed out that the MotoGP09/10 menu system even resembles Xbl's menu system...

So how about it fellas? Whats the deal?

I also noticed in a resent video Greg explaining about M$/xbl allowing them only so much interms of boards (390) but then mumbling over other platforms? WTF?

So seriously can I expect the same quality on PSN as Xbl? Or will I get less with PSN? I'd rather not have to deal with 390 leaderboards but would like to at least be able to set times and talk? And before any Xbots chime in, it has nothing to do with the PS3. The PS3 can do the same as 360 with the right servers... So I don't wanna hear any crap about PSN being garbage compared to XBL. Its all about how the developers and publishers want it to be on Ps3, not PSN fault!

So that being said can you guys explain why so much focus on Xbox360 and no info at all about Ps3? Even down to the controller mapping. That was asked for the 360 controller but not the Ps3 controller?

Please don't side step me on this! Is it Gamespy? Do you have your own servers? whats the deal!

Unfortunately (and I'm grinding my teeth while writing this) Xbox is still the more popular system and seems to have a bigger more online freindly online environment. Much of this stems from the fact that Xbox360 had a jump start because it was available earlier (and cheaper). The 2nd thing is that numorous Devs have complained to Sony that their system is just too awesome Tongue out hahahaha or rather it is pretty difficult and demanding to work with (must be those darn cell processors ahahahahaha) but games tend to look better in the initial stages for 360 and unfortunately many games are tailored for the 360 then ported to the PS3. Makes sense right? NOt really. You would think Devs would make the game for PS3 first seeing as how its so much more powerful (i.e. better) then the port to 360 would be much easier. But it don't work that way.

Funny 360 supposedly has a "better" online community yet I havent payed a dime to play my PS3 online so they can have it! hahahaha goodluck with those Red Rings!HAHAHAHAHAHA

I'm no developer, but it seems that how it is done now is the easiest / cheapest way to do it.  Make a single build that will work on all platforms you intend it to, then code it differently for each console.  If they were to make every game up to the capabilities of the ps3, then they would have to basically rebuild the whole game to dumb it down so the xbox / wii can handle it.  They would be basically making a new game for each console.  Again, just my thoughts, I don't know for sure.

To me it would be like building an 800 hp engine for a Viper, then trying to jam it into a civic.  They would have to modify it and slim it down to be able to get it into the civic.  Or, they can make one engine to fit both cars.   The upside having a universal engine (easier / cheaper), the downside being the Viper wont be performing up to it's true potential while the civic is tapped out.

Well I'm just concerned about Monumental's plans for a Server be it Gamespy or their own?

Interms of the whole Xbl vs Psn or even hardware debates is quite rediculous to say the least!

All games are designed on PC!  Set up for console hardware depending on Processor's and video cards (Nvidia/Ati) Ps3 being more robust hardware obviously suffers from weak media due to multi console releases..

Obviously its easier to develop on a lesser system with simple, unchallenging (if you will) hardware, oppose to forward moving (Cell Processing) hardware.

Then we need to wonder why and or if Monumental chooses to use Gamespy or their own servers on PSN, because M$ obvious has their own servers and works very different from PSN.. Where as M$/Xbl is a monopoly that wants to shut the smaller guys down and consume the market with really slick ways by offering MVP awards and such, where people are devoting there time for free to help M$ make money. lol wtf?

Its pretty deep and political. Its no different than Block buildings taking place of Mom & Pop shops. Then taking away our jobs and sending the labor over seas for a fraction of the cost that an American would make!

The sad fact is the Xbox is suppose to be an American console? there isn't anything American about Xbox360...

But its rather strange that I called Sony and I'm greeted by a person from California. Go figure...  Ahhhh whatever right?

Well back on track! Lets hear it Monumental, whats the game plan for MotoGP09/10 on PS3/PSN?

Playstation just isn't as robust in the online arena and overall than the xbox.  Sorry.

WEll most of us call the PS3 the babystation since every little pain in the butt kid is on it mking problems for everyone.  Alot of us ask M$ to charge more money so we deal with even less high pitched little stinkers.  The online is better or i would be on the ps3 as well as about 50 of my online friends.  Plus the real serious gamers are over on the xbox.  Walken used to be there but not anymore.  So I hope companies kep deving for systems seperatly or just the 360 cause really the ps3 isn't as great as you all think.  One other thing is that several of my buds have the pos3 and yet are always on the 360.

Rock, you're defintely my favorite Xbot hahahaha. Funny thing is I was just having this argument with my friend, he and all his friends have 360s. Come to think about it I'm the only person I know (I mean like real life) that owns a PS3. Still, I'll never switch! hahahaha

When it comes to pure processing power. graphics, and quanitity of game play the ps3 has definitely got it beat.  Games like Uncharted 2 (which in my opinion is the most impressive console game to date) would never be possible on the xbox.  I can handle a few snot nosed kids here and there, but I can't handle crap graphics and games that only take 8 hours to beat *coughmw2cough*.  Also that bluray player is a nice feature as well.  Although, I have considered getting an xbox just because there are a few games that I want that are xbox exclusives.  So, yeah, the ps3 IS as good as we think.  It's just the online that is lacking a bit.
