Someday the game will look and feel the way it should be.  I just hope it dosen't take year after year of excuses as to why it hasn't yet.

Ronin, do I remember correctly that with TT if you took a corner at to great a speed you would wash out even if not on the brakes just like in real life. I can't remember a bike game that has simulated this. Maybe SBK2001?

Take the same corner with a steady throttle at the same speed and you would be fine. Just like real life. Once the arse end wicked up it felt all wrong though.

Yes that would be correct.   You know TT has some serious flaws but damn it does so many things correctly it's so easy to ignore them.    I just love how Polyphony to the time to work in visual clues to give you feedback as to surface and elevation changes.   I mean you can almost "feel" the  bikes getting light as the creast a hill on some of the tracks.  Or the wiggle from the bumps in the some of the tracks because they aren't pool table smooth.

If they'd pulled back a bit on how light the bike gets sometimes, fix the fact that sometimes you can get a faster time by crashing through a corner rather then going through it ( lol still craks me up), make the front brakes a little stronger, and make the crashes more bike like instead of car like.....TT would just be incredible.

As Rockgod pointed out elsewhere, the graphics are insane and make quite a few PS3 titles look pretty bad.  I hadn't played it in a quite a while, but while unpacking dusted it off a few weeks back and haven't really played MotoGP, SBK or anything else since.  Even now the gameplay holds up. I look at some of my times and can't think of how the hell I did them.  But the funny thing is after getting back into it I'm like damn I was slow back then!!! lol.    To me that is true deep gameplay and replay value.   When you can get better at a game because you got better, not because of some bonus cheat hop up or something.   It's cool because on the days that I'm off, it's because I'm off, but on the days that I'm on..........

I'm sure this is just a really, really rough draft.... I hope. We still have months til this game comes out and I'm sure they will smooth things out...I hope. I just pry its not that twitchy, i mean even 08 look smoother than that (as far as leaning left to right and holding a lean angle). They'll get it right, plenty of time...I hope.

I hope so to.  But in the past few years of this game we have been told the same thing over and over and haven't gotten a better result.

I feel you, I hope I'm not too trusting. But I mean with all the board discussion that has gone on lately (it must be up 300% from last month) they must be listening, right? I mean they must know the hardcore fans that will represent nearly all of their sales want a game that is as accurate and immersive as possible...right? Boy I hope so.

I would say Andrew that We are not the target market!

Its kinda like Gene Simmon's from Kiss Releasing another Kiss album and allowing only Walmart and Target to sell it..

Target market not really towards the hardcore fans as they are the first to judge it inside out where the Masses will just buy and throw away!

Quick edit- If there was a interest in an extreme hardcore fan base I would imagine there would be a PC release for future modding and such... Wheres the PC version? No where.

Funny how there seems to be a large base for harcore SIM races on the 360 at least.  Forza just to name one has really started to embrace this.  They even factor in sidewayy flex on the cars now.  Very very good I say.  On the other side of it, I am not hearing a huge voice of the Harcore arcade racer fanboys!  LOL.

I don't know Walken, in any other genre I would say you are right. In any other genre you can market to casual gamers. The thing is most casual gamers aren't even aware of MotoGP let alone the game. If this weren't true then MotoGP 08 would have sold some copies, but from what I saw they couldn't pay people to take it off the shelves. The only people who bought it were us hardcore MotoGP fans. And looking at the life cycle of the series its going to take great reviews from the people who love the game/genre to get the casual gamers attention. So, if we're not happy chances are this game is going to go unnoticed by the casual gamer, just like last year. I see what you're saying though.

Give this man a cigar!  No wait on second thought give him the whole box!  In sales along time ago I learned that "to grow your numbers you need to know your numbers."  If capcom has a clue then this should be something they take a serious look at.  The only way they can revive the series in any way is to make it for those who play it.  Not the guy who will rent it from blockbuster and take it back in a week cause he is looking for the next new thing.  It just doesn't work that way.   THose who are not hardcore now either really love motogp and buy everything and anything related to the sport as a collector.  Nope that isn't the guy they are looking for.  The casual gamer who likes racing games but is looking for more of a challange, experience that is emmersive, yep that is who they want.  They already have the hardcore base for the most part.  But just as the ocean errodes the beaches, the inability to make a solid game errodes the base.  Such as we saw with 08.  You can't really find a decent group of people on there.  You can though on 07.
