Joint Strike King for a Day

    Wednesday, July 23, 2008, 02:16 PM [General]

Here's what the leaderboards for 1942: Joint Strike looked like after the first hour or so of release. Not bad for my first run! I lost a few lives, mostly while learning how to take down the bosses (and realizing that there's no invulnerability time after being hit), but I think I'll be on my way to 200/200 achievements in no time.

As for the early impressions? Thumbs up. Go congratulate Jimmy on a launch well done and if you haven't already, go check out Meatbun for the incredible Cammy art celebrating the new 1942. It's hawt!

    Giant Bomb needs your help!

    Tuesday, July 22, 2008, 07:21 PM [General]

Have you heard the news? Giant Bomb has finally blown up! The new site by the former GameSpot collective is now live and is in need of your sweet, delicious brain power! If you're familiar with the awe inspiring wealth of nerd knowledge that is ComicVine, then you already know what Giant Bomb is all about. It's the soon to be, all-encompassing wiki juggernaut of gaming and yes, you provide the goodness.

Giant Bomb tracks everything from game releases, to characters, locations and concepts. This of course means that there is a ton of Capcom pages that need a bit of love. Whether you just want to pop in some knowledge for Gun.Smoke or clean up Sagat's page of enemies, they good folks at Giant Bomb (with their giant moderation queue, am i rite?) will definitely appreciate it.

Feel free to shoot me a friend invite once you arrive and let's dig in!

    Capcom E3 Highlights

    Wednesday, July 16, 2008, 04:47 PM [General]

The boys from Joystiq take hold of Ben Judd's amazing Bionic arm prop as the second half of E3 begins. With most of the major conferences out of the way, the press is slowly winding through the booths and their appointments, leaving tons of coverage in their wake. Did I mention how relaxing it is to get to stay home this year? Direct from the E3 2008 Thread of Capcom Goodness, the highlights for your favorite dev.

For those who missed out on the live stream of Capcom's press conference, don't fret as G4TV has archived the entire thing. I hope you like Lost Planet!

Resident Evil 5 has been getting the most love from the press and why not? The presentation at the Microsoft conference kicked off a week of zombie loving, including the advent of online, co-operative gameplay as well as the March 13, 2009 release date. GameTrailers is absolutely killing it when it comes to delivering footage, so go check them out for more gameplay hotness.

Speaking of zombies, Famitsu has the first details on Dead Rising for the Nintendo Wii. It's a secret to everybody!

Have you seen the new Street Fighter IV trailer? Centering around the usage of Focus Attacks, if this doesn't get you hyped than I just don't know what to say anymore. There are also a ton of new screenshots available as well! Proud Papa Killian can't seem to contain his joy as Destructoid quoted him saying, "Everyone that loves the game is really happy for us. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive." Hooray!

Keeping with the old school favorites, Nintendo Wii Fanboy got hold of Mega Man 9 saying it's more like a 10. Get it? 1UP has a great interview with producer Hironobu Takeshita, while editor Jeremy Parrish claims to have already beaten it. The demo, that is.

Finally, are you hyped for Dark Void? Behold, 13 minutes of gameplay footage! Looks hot, my friends.

There's so much more for you to see, so check out the Capcom E3 Thread of Goodness (Which is still being updated) for everything else, including Bionic Commando, Flock, Moto GP 2008 and more!
