The official MotoGP 09/10 website went live this morning, featuring screenshots and in-game video footage.

Over the coming weeks we'll be adding tons more content for you to enjoy, but in the meantime, we hope you'll enjoy what's there so far.

Your questions answered – July 2009 Part 4

    Monday, August 3, 2009, 05:48 AM [General]

And finally, here’s the forth part of the Q&A with the MotoGP 09/10 development team for July

In the old ps version of GP they had these and other features where you could unlock old racers and bikes. Some of them were verrrry slow but still neat they had them. Old racers, tracks, and bikes would be awesome. So what do you say Steve?

This is another idea that’s being considered.

In the climax motogp's, all the riders had the SAME riding style. For motogp 09/10 the riders should look like their real life counterpart.

Once again, this is another feature that’s being considered.

I want to be able to distinguish between Toni Elias (who literally hangs his whole body off the bike around a corner) and Colin Edwards (who is all knees and elbows).

And once again, this is another feature that’s being considered.

Will you be able to do more then just 5 seasons like in MGP 08?

    Yes you will.

Atmosphere in bike games seems to be really lacking.

We’re trying out hardest to improve on this feature.

I'd like to ask more about the samples.  One of the biggest problems with the previous games was scenery impacting on the samples or lack of.  Samples before were just that, samples.

Do you guys mean sound samples? If so, we have reference recordings from all bike classes in MotoGP as well as normal road bikes and our sound engineers are hard at work forming the best possible engine samples.

Please don't fix the bad weather to certain tracks every year in career mode!

    Don’t worry, we won’t…

Here's the second part of the Q&A with the MotoGP 09/10 development team for July 2009.

    Wednesday, July 22, 2009, 04:23 AM [General]

Will the upcoming GP2 (600cc) class be available as DLC?

Wouldn't you like to know? You would? Ok then, yes the 600cc class will be available as free DLC.

Are the tracks going to reproduce elevation better? The only game that comes close is Forza 2 and even that's not 100% correct. Mugello for example has more elevation than games show.

We agree and are trying to add more elevation where possible. The reason that MotoGP has lacked aggressive elevation in the past is a combination of track polygon detail and the instability it gives the physics.

In the lobbies, will there be Championships with points and Ranking alongside your Tag in ALL lobbies?

In our current design there will be championship points, but not ranking.

Is there going to be split screen and will it have side by side and top and bottom option?

Yes there will be split screen and maybe side by side and a bottom option.

Will the new game mirror real life in rendering tracks and palette?

The art team is very focused on delivering this, so yes, as much as possible.

Why can't we save replays in Motogp 09/10? This is very sad. Sometimes you can have a sick race and want to relive that race over and over again.

We can’t include this feature for 09/10 due to time constraints, but we can promise that it will go into the next version though.

Will there be an option to toggle tyre wear so that the tyres will get worn out just like in real life? And that will make you slower of course?

We are still assessing the impact of tyre wear on our handling model. For now, we’ll just say that hopefully it will.

    Week 4 - Part 3 - MotoGP 09/10 Q&A session

    Wednesday, June 24, 2009, 04:05 AM [General]

Here we go with part 3 of June's Q&A session with the MotoGP 09/10 development team.

    Part  Three:

Online Modes: Will be  there chat in the rooms? Private rooms? Both of them are necessary to organize  championships and so on.
    We say: Yes and yes.

We want a PC version,  pleasseeeee!!!!
We say: We understand people out there want a PC version, but we’re currently focusing on the PS3 and X360 platforms first. We feel it’s important to nail the console versions. If there was a PC version, it would be to the determent of the main platforms and we just wouldn’t feel right serving something up that we are not happy with.

Will you support the  modding as so many other successful games have  done?
We say: It’s hard to do modding on PS3 and X360, but we are currently exploring other ways in which the community could get involved. Once again, your comments and views on this topic are more than welcome.

Will we see the  MGP Academy category in Career mode or as a  kind of tutorial?
We say: Not in this  version.

Will be there IRTA  tests, private tests and so in the championships or career mode?
We say: You can do bike tests within the career  mode, where you can test bike set-ups and  experiment.

After you complete a season, will all teams and riders will be the same? Maybe a cool thing would be that in next season, some riders move from team to other teams, change their numbers and so.
We say: We can’t reveal all our secrets at this  stage, but stay tuned.

You know would be cool, start a dry race and then it starts raining in the middle of the race. This happens a lot in real life so will it happen in the game?
We say: This is much more complicated that it  sounds, but we are looking at this for future  releases.

If the initial release  has bugs, wrong or old skins, would we get an update or dc  pack?
We say: We cannot reveal any details yet, but  rest assured these things are on our radar.

Sounds should be  recorded from actual revs of the real machines and implemented into the  game. Will this be the case?
We say: We did indeed do a recording session at the Official MotoGP test in Jerez. These samples will be used in the final game for added realism.

Please keep your questions coming in by posting them here and we'll add them to July's Q&A session with the MotoGP 09/10 development team.
