I collected so many freebie t-shirts over the years, that I don't get to wear most of them, which is a crying shame (I still have a Windows 95 shirt, brand new in wrap. I think it's probably even more a collectors item now...) Quite frankly, many t-shirts handed out by game companies, or tech companies, etc. are so generic and boring that I would never wear them. It just seems lazy with how most game publishers make gaming t-shirts that are so blah. Slap on a logo, and bam! That's swag?
Which is why I'm so in love with the Capcom Resident Evil T-shirt. The one where you pull it over your head and it has an image of a zombie face on the inside of the shirt. The concept is so brilliant, and it works that much better because of the whole zombie theme. This really is in the running for my best swag of the year so far.
Kudos to who ever came up with that idea! I hope more of the industry tries to do something innovative like this, rather than doing the same ol' blah T-shirt, or blah comic book, etc. etc.
